Գիտնականները մշակել են արհեստական բանականության (ԱԲ) վրա հիմնված նոր համակարգ, որն ընդունակ է նախապես գնահատել նորահայտ բակտերիաների պոտենցիալ վտանգը։
Գյուտի մասին հոդվածը հրապարակվել է Bioinformatics ամսագրում։
Այս գործիքը վերլուծում է միկրոօրգանիզմների գենետիկական տվյալները և թույլ է տալիս կանխատեսել դրանց ախտածնությունը (պաթոգենությունը)՝ այսինքն հիվանդություններ հարուցելու կարողությունը, դեռ նախքան բակտերիաները կսկսեն տարածվել մարդկանց շրջանում կամ շրջակա միջավայրում։
Համակարգը վարժեցվել է տվյալների մեծ բազաների հիման վրա, որոնք ներառում են հայտնի բակտերիաների գենոմները և դրանց հատկությունների մասին տեղեկություններ։ Օգտագործելով այս մոդելները՝ ԱԲ-ն կարող է որոշել պոտենցիալ սպառնալիքի աստիճանը, մարդու բջիջների հետ փոխազդեցության հնարավոր մեխանիզմները և հակաբիոտիկների նկատմամբ կայունության զարգացման ռիսկը։ Դրա շնորհիվ բժշկական ծառայությունները և հետազոտողները կարող են ավելի արագ հայտնաբերել առավել վտանգավոր շտամները և լաբորատոր ռեսուրսներն ուղղել դրանց ուսումնասիրմանը։
Նման մոտեցումն առանձնապես կարևոր է նոր մանրէաբանական սպառնալիքների արագ հայտնվելու և հակաբիոտիկների նկատմամբ կայունության աճի պայմաններում։ Լաբորատոր փորձարկումների վրա հիմնված գնահատման ավանդական մեթոդները պահանջում են շաբաթներ կամ ամիսներ, իսկ ԱԲ համակարգը թույլ է տալիս զգալիորեն կրճատել այդ ժամանակը։ Փորձագետներն ընդգծում են, որ գործիքը չի փոխարինում լաբորատոր հետազոտություններին, այլ ծառայում է որպես արդյունավետ զտիչ, որն օգնում է կենտրոնանալ վճռորոշ նշանակություն ունեցող նմուշների վրա։
Մշակումը նոր հեռանկարներ է բացում մանրէաբանության և առողջապահության համար։ ԱԲ-ն արդեն կիրառվում է վիրուսների վերլուծության, վարակների բռնկումների կանխատեսման և նոր հակաբիոտիկների մշակման համար։
Այժմ այն կարող է արագացնել բակտերիաների հետ կապված սպառնալիքների գնահատումը և օգնել բժշկական ծառայություններին ավելի արագ արձագանքել պոտենցիալ վտանգավոր միկրոօրգանիզմներին, ինչը հատկապես կարևոր է գլոբալացման պայմաններում, երբ վարակները տարածվում են շատ արագ։
