Մարտի 27-ին Ռուսաստանի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Սերգեյ Լավրովը հեռախոսազրույց է ունեցել Իրանի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Աբբաս Արաղչիի հետ։
Նախարարները քննարկել են Մերձավոր Արևելքում շարունակվող «լուրջ ռազմական և քաղաքական ճգնաժամը, որը բռնկվել է Իրանի դեմ ամերիկա-իսրայելական չհրահրված ագրեսիայի հետևանքով»։
Նրանք մտքեր են փոխանակել հակամարտությունը միջազգային իրավունքի հիման վրա քաղաքական և դիվանագիտական կարգավորման վերաուղղորդման հեռանկարների շուրջ՝ հաշվի առնելով տարածաշրջանի բոլոր երկրների, այդ թվում՝ Իրանի և նրա հարևանների՝ Պարսից ծոցի համագործակցության խորհրդի անդամ երկրների օրինական շահերը։
Լավրովը նաև իր իրանցի գործընկերոջը տեղեկացրել է Իսլամական Հանրապետությանը ռուսական մարդասիրական օգնության նոր խմբաքանակի մատակարարման մասին։
