ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսում կանխատեսումների շուկաների դեմ պայքարը թափ է հավաքում, և հինգշաբթի կներկայացվի մեկ այլ օրինագիծ, որը լիակատար արգելք կսահմանի, գրում է Axios-ը։
Ինչպես նշում են լրատվամիջոցները, կանխատեսումների շուկաներն այժմ հնարավորություն են տալիս ռիսկի դիմել սպորտի, քաղաքականության, նորությունների և զվարճանքի վրա ամբողջ երկրում, սակայն քննադատները նշում են, որ դրանք մոլեխաղեր են և լի են ինսայդերական առևտրով։
Սենատոր Ջեֆ Մերքլին հինգշաբթի կներկայացնի «Կոռուպցիոն խաղադրույքների դեմ պայքարի մասին» օրենքը, իսկ Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի անդամ Ջեյմի Ռասկինը կներկայացնի օրինագծի Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի տարբերակը։
Օրինագիծը կարգելի խաղադրույքներն ընտրություններին, սպորտին, կառավարության գործողություններին և ռազմական գործողություններին առնչվող միջոցառումների վրա։
«Երբ ինչ-որ մեկը կարող է օգտագործել կանխատեսումների շուկաները Կոնգրեսի օրենսդրությունը, կառավարության որոշումները կամ ռազմական հարվածները ժամանակին ընդունելու համար, դա հանգեցնում է կոռուպցիայի և հանրային վստահության քայքայման»,- Axios-ի հետ զրույցում ասել է սենատոր Մերքլին։
Մերկլիի օրինագիծը, որը համահեղինակել է սենատոր Էլիզաբեթ Ուորենը, ավելի հեռու կգնա, քան այս շաբաթվա սկզբին սենատոր Ադամ Շիֆի (հանրապետական, Հարավային Կարոլինա) և սենատոր Ջոն Քուրթիսի (հանրապետական, Հարավային Կարոլինա) ներկայացրած երկկուսակցական օրինագիծը։
Շիֆ-Քյորթիսի օրենքը կարգելի «ցանկացած կանխատեսման պայմանագիր, որը նման է սպորտային խաղադրույքի կամ խաղատան ոճի խաղի»։ Մեկ այլ օրինագիծ, որը չորեքշաբթի ներկայացրել են Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի անդամներ Ադրիան Սմիթը և Նիկի Բուձինսկին, կկանխի իրական ժամանակի շահագործումը և խաբուսիկ ներքին առևտուրը՝ արգելելով բարձրաստիճան պետական պաշտոնյաներին զբաղվել ներքին առևտրով կանխատեսման շուկաներում»։ Միևնույն ժամանակ, խաղադրույքների կողմնակիցները պնդում են, որ կանխատեսման շուկաները պատշաճ կերպով կարգավորում է Ապրանքային ֆյուչերսների առևտրի հանձնաժողովը և վիճարկում են այն ենթադրությունը, որ դրանք հավասարազոր են մոլեխաղերին։
