Իտալիայի առողջապահության նախարարությունը հայտնել է Եվրոպայում մարդու մոտ թռչնի գրիպի H9N2 վիրուսով վարակման առաջին դեպքի հայտնաբերման մասին։ Ինչպես նշվում է գերատեսչության հայտարարության մեջ, այն հայտնաբերվել է հյուսիսային Լոմբարդիա նահանգում։
Ըստ հաղորդագրության՝ վարակումը տեղի է ունեցել ոչ եվրոպական երկրում՝ «վարակված թռչնի կամ աղտոտված շրջակա միջավայրի կամ նյութերի հետ անմիջական շփման արդյունքում»։ «Կենդանական ծագման ցածր ախտածին A(H9N2) թռչնի գրիպի վիրուսով վարակումը հայտնաբերվել է ուղեկցող հիվանդություններ ունեցող թուլացած օրգանիզմով անձի մոտ։ Ներկայումս նա հոսպիտալացված է։ Բոլոր անհրաժեշտ հետազոտություններն իրականացվել են օպերատիվ կերպով, հիվանդի շփման շրջանակը բացահայտվել է պլանային կանխարգելիչ և համաճարակաբանական միջոցառումների շրջանակներում։ Այս պահին կրիտիկական խնդիրներ չեն հայտնաբերվել, իրավիճակը վերահսկողության տակ է», - ասված է հայտարարության մեջ։
Նշվում է նաև, որ այս վիրուսով հարուցված հիվանդությունը մարդկանց մոտ բնութագրվում է թեթև ընթացքով, և մարդուց մարդ վիրուսի փոխանցման դեպքեր նախկինում չեն գրանցվել։
