ԱՄՆ-ը և տարածաշրջանային միջնորդների խումբը քննարկում են արդեն հինգշաբթի օրը Իրանի հետ բարձր մակարդակի խաղաղության բանակցություններ անցկացնելու հնարավորությունը, սակայն դեռևս սպասում են Թեհրանի պատասխանին: Axios-ին հայտնել են քննարկումներին ծանոթ երկու աղբյուրներ:
ԱՄՆ նախագահ Թրամփը շահագրգռված է պատերազմը դադարեցնելով, սակայն Հորմուզի նեղուցի վրա Իրանի վերահսկողությունը բարդացնում է ցանկացած հնարավոր ելքի ռազմավարություն: ԱՄՆ-ն Իսրայելին է ներկայացրել պատերազմը դադարեցնելու իր 15 կետանոց ծրագիրը և հայտարարել, որ Իրանը համաձայնել է բազմաթիվ կարևոր կետերի: Նման համաձայնագրի որևէ իրական ապացույց դեռևս չկա:
Ըստ երկու իսրայելական աղբյուրների՝ Իսրայելի վարչապետ Բենիամին Նեթանյահուն մտահոգված է, որ Թրամփը կարող է գործարք կնքել, որը զգալիորեն կշեղվի Իսրայելի նպատակներից, կներառի զգալի զիջումներ և կսահմանափակի Իսրայելի՝ Իրանին հարվածելու կարողությունը:
Մեկ այլ աղբյուր հայտնել է, որ իսրայելցի առաջնորդները կասկածանքով են վերաբերվում այն մտքին, որ Իրանն իրականում առաջարկել է այն զիջումները, որոնց մասին հայտարարել է ԱՄՆ-ը:
Պակիստանը, որը համակարգում է Թեհրանի և Վաշինգտոնի միջև հաղորդակցությունը Եգիպտոսի և Թուրքիայի հետ, հայտարարել է, որ «պատրաստ է և պատիվ ունի» հյուրընկալել խաղաղության բանակցություններ, եթե երկու երկրներն էլ համաձայնվեն։ Թրամփը սոցիալական ցանցերում պակիստանյան հաղորդագրություն է տարածել՝ նշելով նման գագաթնաժողով հյուրընկալելու իր հետաքրքրությունը։
Եթե գագաթնաժողովի ծրագրերը վերջնականապես հաստատվեն, փոխնախագահ Վենսը, հավանաբար, կմասնակցի։ «Սակայն պարզ չէ՝ կլինի՞ արդյոք որևէ մասնակցություն։ Բոլորը փորձում են պարզել՝ արդյոք դա հնարավոր է»,- ասել է հարցին ծանոթ աղբյուրներից մեկը։
