Գարեգին Բ–ն չի կարողանա մասնակցել Համայն Վրաստանի կաթողիկոս-պատրիարք Իլյա 2–րդի հուղարկավորությանը` չնայած նրան հատուկ հրավեր էին ուղարկել։ Փաստաբան Արա Զոհրաբյանը հայտնել է, որ քննիչը մերժել է Ամենայն հայոց կաթողիկոսի խափանման միջոցը վերացնելու միջնորդությունը` շեշտելով, որ սա «երկրի վարկանիշը վնասող հերթական ապօրինություն է»։

Մայր Աթոռից հայտնել էին, որ Վրաց ուղղափառ եկեղեցու պատրիարքարանից ստացել են պաշտոնական ծանուցում. «Վեհափառ Հայրապետը մտադիր է այցելել Վրաստան, ներկա գտնվել հուղարկավորության արարողությանը, իր հարգանքի տուրքը մատուցել ի Տեր հանգուցյալ երանաշնորհ Պատրիարքին և իր վշտակցությունը բերել Վրաց Ուղղափառ Եկեղեցուն ու բարեկամ վրաց ժողովրդին։ Ինչ վերաբերում է ելքի արգելքին, ապա Մայր Աթոռի փաստաբանները քայլեր են ձեռնարկում այդ ուղղությամբ»։

Քննչական կոմիտեն էլ նախ նշել էր, թե չեն ստացել որևէ միջնորդություն, ապա մեկ օր անց պարզապես մերժել են։ Սա Փաշինյանի իշխանության հերթական տիեզերական խայտառակությունն է։ Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցուն և նրա հովվապետին հարվածելու իր մարմաջով տառապելով՝ Փաշինյանը ոչնչի առջև այլևս կանգ չի առնում։

Մեկ այլ հարց էլ Վրաստանի հետ հարաբերություններն են, որոնք վատանում են հենց Փաշինյանի պատճառով։ Բայց ավելի խորքային նրա հակաեկեղեցական ու հակազգային պահվածքն է, որն այլևս որևէ արդարացում և բացատրություն չունի։
