Էդմոն Մարուքյանը տելեգրամյան իր ալիքում գրում է.
Տեղի է ունեցել պատերազմ, որի արդյունքում մենք կրել ենք պարտություն։ Այդպես եղել է շատ պետությունների և ազգերի հետ։ Բայց ո՞վ է վերցրել թշնամու թեզերը և կիրառել, ո՞վ է իր սեփական պատմությունը խմբագրել՝ թշնամուն հարմար ձևով։
Ու այնպես չէ, որ մենք ինքներս մեզ հարցեր ենք տալիս, փորձում ենք առերեսվել իրականության հետ՝ ինչպես դա փորձում են ներկայացնել։ Եթե նայեք, թե ինչ հակահայկական թեզեր էին քարոզվում Ադրբեջանում մինչև 44-օրյա պատերազմը, կհասկանաք, որ դրանք մեր բարձրացրած հարցերը չեն, պարզապես այսօր ՀՀ իշխանությունները, իրենց քարոզիչներով, հենց այդ ադրբեջանական թեզերն են փորձում ներարկել մեր հայրենակիցներին։
Երբ տեսնում եք, որ Եվրոխորհրդարանում Փաշինյանի ելույթից հետո նրան ծափահարում են, մի մոռացեք՝ Ստրասբուրգում շատերին են ծափ տվել, բայց դրանով երբեք ոչինչ չի որոշվել։
Ծափահարող մարդիկ կարծում են, թե ելույթ է ունենում մի երկրի առաջնորդ, որը փորձում է վերափոխել իր ազգը։ Նրանք չգիտեն, որ այդ անձնավորությունը իր ազգը թողնում է թշնամու առաջ անպաշտպան։
Ծափ էին տալիս մի մարդու, որը գնացել էր՝ բողոքելու իր իսկ ազգից։
Ընդհանրապես, երբ որևէ պետության ղեկավարին լայնորեն և միահամուռ գովում են այլ երկրների առաջնորդներն ու խորհրդարանները, դա հաճախ նշանակում է, որ այդ ղեկավարը չի գործում իր երկրի շահերից ելնելով, այլ՝ այն պետությունների շահերից, որտեղից հնչում են այդ գովեստի խոսքերը։
Չեմ ուզում, որ մեզ ծափ տան։ Ուզում եմ՝ չկորցնենք մեր ազգային ինքնասիրությունը։
