Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը հաստատել է, որ Ցեղասպանության թանգարան-ինստիտուտի տնօրենը ազատվել է իր իսկ ցուցումով՝ Վենսին Արցախի մասին գիրք նվիրելու համար։ Այդ մասին նա հաստատել է կառավարության նիստից հետո կայացած ճեպազրույցում։ «Երբ երկրի վարչապետն ասում է՝ ղարաբաղյան շարժում չկա, օտարերկրյա հյուրին «Արցախյան հիմնահարց» թեմայով գիրք նվիրելն ի՞նչ է նշանակում։ Էս երկրում քանի՞ հոգի կարա արտաքին քաղաքականություն վարի։ Էս երկրում արտաքին քաղաքականություն վարում է կառավարությունը և Հայաստանի էն պետական պաշտոնյան, ով Հայաստանի վարած արտաքին քաղաքականությանը հակասող բան կասի, պետք է ազատվի աշխատանքից, էդտեղ ի՞նչ թեմա կա։ Մենք պետությու՞ն ենք, թե՞ ինքնագործ խմբակ է»,- հայտարարել է իր լիազորությունները վերազանցած ու դեպի ավտորիտարիզմ սլացող Փաշինյանը։

Գզոյանի հեռացումը շոկ է նույնիսկ իշխանությանը լոյալ անձանց համար, իսկ Փաշինյանի խոստովանությունն ու ցինիկ արձագանքը ազդակ, որ գործող իշխանությունը կորցրել է իրականության զգացումը։ Առավել ևս, որ Ցեղասպանության թանգարան-ինստիտուտի տնօրենն ավելորդ որևէ բան չի արել, կատարել է բացառապես այն աշխատանքը, որ անում էր երկար ժամանակ։

Եթե Փաշինյանի իշխանությունը Վենսին գիրք նվիրելու համար ինչ-որ մեկին պիտի հեռացներ, ապա դա թանգարանի տնօրենը չպիտի լիներ։ Ի վերջո, դա հենց Փաշինյանի արարողակարգի պետի կամ ԿԳՄՍ նախարարի մեղքն է, որ «լայաղ» չեն արել ԱՄՆ փոխնախագահին ուղեկցել Ծիծեռնակաբերդի հուշահամալիր, տեղում էլ տնօրենին, օրինակ, նախապատրաստեին, թե ինչ է կարելի խոսել/պատմել/նվիրել, որ չհակասի իշխանության պաշտոնական քաղաքականությանը։ Արդյունքում, իր ենթակաների ակնհայտ ձախողման ֆոնին Փաշինյանը ոչ թե նրանց է հեռացնում, այլ անվանի մի գիտնականի, որին, ընդհակառակը, հարկավոր էր խրախուսել։ Ի դեպ, ըստ մեր աղբյուրի, ԿԳՄՍ նախարար Ժաննա Անդրեասյանն է ամեն ինչ արել Էդիտա Գզոյանին հեռացնելու համար՝ հասկանալով, որ հակառակ դեպքում ինքը պիտի պատասխան տա Փաշինյանի առաջ։

Ի դեպ, մոտ երեսուն հայ և օտարազգի ցեղասպանագետներ բաց նամակ են գրել՝ մտահոգիչ համարելով Էդիտա Գզոյանի հարկադիր հեռացումը։ «Կան բոլոր հիմքերը կարծելու, որ սա ավելի շատ վերաբերում է ոչ թե թանգարանի կառավարմանը, այլ ՀՑԹԻ-ի վերադասավորմանը՝ աշխատանքը համապատասխանեցնելով աշխարհաքաղաքական առաջնահերթություններին, մասնավորապես՝ ձգտելով խուսափել Ադրբեջանին առնչվող վայրագությունների անկեղծ քննարկումից»,- ասվում է նամակում։ Իսկ թանգարանի տնօրենի ժամանակավոր պաշտոնակատար է դառնալու դիվանագետ, վարչապետ Փաշինյանի նախկին օգնական, նրա աշխատակազմի արտաքին կապերի վարչության նախկին պետ Հրաչյա Թաշչյանը, ով վերջին ամիսներին ակտիվորեն շրջում է տարբեր ԶԼՄ-ներով ու արդարացնում իշխանության ձախողված ատաքին քաղաքականությունը։
