Bloomberg: Израиль хочет построить базу в Сомалиленде

Израиль тайно изучает возможность создания базы на территории Сомалиленда, признанного им в конце 2025 года в качестве независимого и суверенного государства. Об этом сообщило агентство Bloomberg со ссылкой на источники.
По их сведениям, Израиль уже начал подготовительную работу - в июне прошлого года небольшая делегация израильских чиновников посетила Сомалиленд, в ходе визита они пытались определить возможное место для будущей базы в устье Красного моря. Еврейское государство заинтересовано в строительстве базы, поскольку рассчитывает наносить с ее территории удары по йеменскому движению «Ансар Аллах» (хуситы), указывает агентство.
Премьер-министр Израиля Биньямин Нетаньяху объявил 26 декабря 2025 года о признании Израилем государственности Республики Сомалиленд. Остальным мировым сообществом Сомалиленд признается частью Сомали, несмотря на то, что власти республики в 1991 году в одностороннем порядке объявили о государственном суверенитете.
Сомалийские власти считают, что действия Израиля являются «величайшим нарушением суверенитета» страны и грозят дестабилизацией всему региону Африканского Рога. Шаг Израиля осудили многие страны, а также международные и региональные организации.
