Հայաստանի լեռներում կան վայրեր, որոնց մասին գիտեն միայն տեղացիները կամ հազվադեպ արշավականները։ Այդպիսի խորհրդավոր վայրերից մեկն է Օձի պորտ կոչվող բնական հուշարձանը, որը գտնվում է Լոռու մարզում՝ Արդվի գյուղի շրջակայքում։ Տեղանքը շրջապատված է խիտ անտառներով ու ժայռերով, իսկ այնտեղ հասնելը հեշտ չէ, ինչը միայն ավելացնում է վայրի առեղծվածային համբավը։
Օձի պորտը ժայռային յուրահատուկ գոյացություն է, որի տեսքը առաջին հայացքից հիշեցնում է քարացած օձ։ Ժայռի կենտրոնական հատվածում կա բնական անցք կամ խորություն, որտեղից մշտապես հոսում է սառնորակ ջուր։ Այդ պատճառով էլ տեղացիները դարեր շարունակ այս վայրը կոչել են «օձի պորտ»՝ կարծելով, թե ջուրը բխում է հենց այդ խորհրդավոր քարե «պորտից»։
Տեղանքի մասին բազմաթիվ լեգենդներ են պահպանվել։ Ըստ ամենատարածված ավանդության՝ հին ժամանակներում այս վայրում բնակվել են երկու հսկայական վիշապներ, որոնք ահաբեկել են շրջակա բնակավայրերը։ Մարդիկ օգնություն են խնդրել եկեղեցուց, և պատմությունը կապում են հայկական եկեղեցու հայտնի գործիչ Հովհաննես Օձնեցու անվան հետ։ Ավանդության համաձայն՝ նրա աղոթքի արդյունքում վիշապները քարացել են, իսկ ժայռից բխած ջուրը դարձել է սուրբ աղբյուր։
Տեղացիները պատմում են, որ այդ ջուրը տարիներ շարունակ համարվել է բուժիչ։ Շատերը գալիս էին այստեղ՝ հավատալով, որ աղբյուրի ջուրը կարող է բուժել տարբեր հիվանդություններ կամ մաքրել մարդուն չար ուժերից։ Նույնիսկ այսօր էլ որոշ մարդիկ այցելում են այս վայրը ոչ միայն բնության գեղեցկությունը տեսնելու, այլ նաև խորհրդավոր մթնոլորտը զգալու համար։
Չնայած այդ լեգենդներին՝ Օձի պորտը գիտական առումով դեռ ամբողջությամբ ուսումնասիրված չէ։ Մասնագետների կարծիքով այն կարող է լինել բնական քարային ձևավորում, որը ստեղծվել է երկարատև երկրաբանական գործընթացների արդյունքում։ Սակայն նույնիսկ գիտական բացատրությունները չեն նվազեցնում վայրի առեղծվածային համբավը։
Այսօր Օձի պորտը համարվում է Հայաստանի քիչ հայտնի, բայց հետաքրքիր բնական տեսարժան վայրերից մեկը։ Լեռների խորքում թաքնված այս անկյունը կարծես մի վայր լինի, որտեղ բնությունն ու հին լեգենդները միահյուսվում են՝ ստեղծելով խորհրդավոր միջավայր, որը դեռ սպասում է իր հետազոտողներին։
