Քաղաքագետ Արմեն Այվազյանը գրում է.
 
Եվ այսպես, ամերիկա-իսրայելյան պատերազմն Իրանի դեմ ընթանում է արդեն մոտ 12 ժամ։ Այս պահին կարելի է տալ մի քանի նախնական գնահատական։
Առայժմ ԱՄՆ-ն և Իսրայելը որևէ լուրջ ռազմական կամ քաղաքական արդյունք չեն արձանագրել։ Ակնհայտ է, որ նրանք թերագնահատել են Իրանի ինստիտուցիոնալ կայունությունն ու դիմադրողականությունը՝ միաժամանակ գերագնահատելով սեփական ռազմական կարողությունները։
 
Թրամփն ու Նեթանյահուն իրենց հաշվարկներում հիմնվել են սխալ և կեղծ կանխադրույթների վրա՝ ենթադրելով, թե Իրանի Իսլամական Հանրապետությունը կփլուզվի մի քանի օր կամ շաբաթ տևող օդային հարվածների հետևանքով։ Սակայն արդեն իսկ այն փաստը, որ խոշորածավալ հարձակման ենթարկվելուց ընդամենը մի քանի ժամ անց Իրանը կարողացավ պատասխան հարվածներ հասցնել թե՛ Իսրայելին, թե՛ տարածաշրջանի յոթ պետություններում տեղակայված ամերիկյան ռազմաբազաներին և շահերին, վկայում է, որ այս պատերազմում նա դեռ բազմաթիվ անակնկալներ կմատուցի իր հակառակորդներին։
 
Միայն օդային հարվածների միջոցով՝ առանց ցամաքային բաղադրիչի, նման տարածքային, ժողովրդագրական և ռազմական պոտենցիալ ունեցող պետությանը ռազմավարական պարտության մատնելը գործնականում անհնար է։ Իսկ պատմական փորձը ցույց է տալիս, որ օդային գերակայությունն ինքնին չի ապահովում քաղաքական նպատակների իրականացում, եթե այն չի ուղեկցվում տարածքի վերահսկմամբ։
 
Լայնածավալ ցամաքային գործողություն իրականացնելու համար, սակայն, ո՛չ ԱՄՆ-ն, ո՛չ էլ առավել ևս Իսրայելը բավարար ուժային և նյութատեխնիկական ռեսուրսներ չունեն։ Իրանի դեմ հնարավոր ներխուժման առավել իրատեսական ուղղությունը ծովայինն է, սակայն ԱՄՆ ծովային հետևակի ընդհանուր թվաքանակը ներկայումս կազմում է մոտ 170–180 հազար զինծառայող, և այդ ուժերի զգալի մասի կենտրոնացումը մեկ ռազմաճակատում լրջագույն լոգիստիկ և ռազմաքաղաքական սահմանափակումների կբախվի։
 
Նույնիսկ ավելի մեծ ուժերի կիրառման դեպքում ներխուժումն անխուսափելիորեն բախվելու էր բազմաշերտ, խորքային պաշտպանությանը և երկարատև դիմադրությանը՝ վերածվելով բարձր կորուստներով հյուծիչ պատերազմի։
 
Անգամ եթե Իրանի ղեկավարության առաջին դեմքերը սպանվեն, պետությունը նրանց կփոխարինի նախապես ընտրված և նշանակված նոր կադրերով։ Իրանին պետք է ընդամենը վերապրել՝ պահպանել իր պետական կառուցվածքն ու զինված ուժերը։ Եթե նրան հաջողվի դա ապահովել, արդեն իսկ կարելի կլինի խոսել ռազմավարական հաջողության մասին, քանի որ այդ պարագայում ԱՄՆ-ի և Իսրայելի «անհաղթելիության» միֆը ամբողջ աշխարհում հօդս կցնդի։
Այս պատերազմից հետո աշխարհն առերեսվելու է բոլորովին այլ Մերձավոր Արևելքի հետ։
