Վարչապետ Բենիամին Նեթանյահուն երկուշաբթի երեկոյան հայտարարել է, որ Իսրայելը «անհավանական» ուժով կպատասխանի, եթե Իրանի իսլամական ռեժիմը հարձակվի երկրի վրա։
Քնեսեթում բանավեճի ժամանակ իր ելույթում Նեթանյահուն նշել է, որ Իսրայելը «շատ դժվար և լարված օրեր» է ապրում Իրանի հետ շարունակվող լարվածության ֆոնին և պատրաստ է դիմակայել ցանկացած սպառնալիքի։
«Մենք զգոն ենք և պատրաստ ենք բոլոր սցենարներին։ Ես այաթոլլաների ռեժիմին հասկացրել եմ. եթե նրանք թույլ տան, թերևս, իրենց պատմության մեջ ամենածանր սխալը և հարձակվեն Իսրայելի վրա, մենք կպատասխանենք այնպիսի ուժով, որը նրանք չեն կարող պատկերացնել»,- ընդգծեց նա։
Նեթանյահուն միաժամանակ գովաբանել է Միացյալ Նահանգների հետ Իսրայելի հարաբերությունները՝ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի հետ իր վերջին այցից հետո։
«Այսօր կարող եմ ասել, որ երբ խոսքը վերաբերում է միլիոնավոր իսրայելցի քաղաքացիների պաշտպանությանը, Իսրայելը երբեք ավելի ուժեղ չի եղել։ Միացյալ Նահանգների հետ դաշինքը երբեք ավելի ուժեղ չի եղել, այդ թվում՝ մեր անվտանգության ծառայությունների և նրանց հետախուզական գործակալությունների միջև համագործակցությունը։ Նախկինում նման բան երբեք չի պատահել»,- նշել է նա։
