Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի մասնակցությամբ պատարագին երեկ չի զեղչվել Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսի անունը։ Փաշինյանն ու իր թիմակիցները կիրակնօրյա պատարագի են մասնակցել Սևան քաղաքի Սրբոց Հրեշտակապետաց եկեղեցում։ Գեղարքունյաց թեմի նորանշանակ առաջնորդ Իսահակ վարդապետ Պողոսյանի խոսքով՝ կանոնական պատարագ է մատուցվել։ «Ամեն ինչ արվել է ըստ պատշաճի։ Մեզ ոչ ոք նախապես չէր ասել, որ նա գալու է»,– ասել է նա։ Պատարագի ընթացքում նաև մի քաղաքացի է հնչեցրել Վեհափառի անունը։

Դեկտեմբերի 4-ին՝ կառավարության նիստից հետո կայացած ճեպազրույցում, Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին հարցրել էին՝ արդյո՞ք ԱԱԾ-ն գնում է հոգևորականների մոտ և առաջարկում նոր տեքստեր։ «Ես գնում եմ այն պատարագներին, որտեղ Կտրիճ Ներսիսյանի անունը չի հնչում։ Երբ ես մտադիր եմ մասնակցել, մենք խնդրում ենք, որ այդ փաստը, որ մենք համարում ենք, որ Կտրիճ Ներսիսյանը կաթողիկոս չէ, հաշվի առնեն։ Մի դեպքում կարող է ծանոթ լինել, դա կարող է ԱԱԾ աշխատող լինել, մյուս դեպքում՝ կարող է որևէ տեղ աշխատող չլինել, մեկ ուրիշ դեպքում կարող է բարեկամ լինել կամ անծանոթ, իմ օգնականը լինել, սա կախված է նրանից՝ ով ում ճանաչում է և ով ինչ անձնական կապեր ունի։ Այստեղ ԱԱԾ-ն ու մյուս ինստիտուտները կապ ունեն այնքանով, որքանով որևէ մեկը որևէ մեկին ճանաչում է»,- պատասխանել էր նա։

Եվ այժմ Սևանում մասնակցելով մի պատարագի, որտեղ Հայոց Հայրապետի անունը չեն զեղչում, ավելին, անգամ չփորձելով լռեցնել Վեհափառի անունը հնչեցրած քաղաքացու ձայնը, Փաշինյանը, ըստ էության, համակերպվում է Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցու դեմ իր պայքարում կրած պարտության հետ, կամ էլ մանևր է անում՝ նոր թափով հարձակվելու համար։ Հատկապես խորհրդարանական ընտրություններից առաջ Փաշինյանի նման վարքը վկայում է, որ իշխանությունները հասկանում են՝ եկեղեցու թեման լուրջ խնդիր է դառնալու իրենց պարագայում, ուստի և փորձելու են կամ ծածկադմփոց անել, կամ էլ բոլոր ռեսուրսները նետել եկեղեցու դեմ։
