Քաղաքականության մեջ շոուի բաղադրիչը անպակաս է։ Չկա քաղաքական գործիչ կամ ղեկավար, որը կամա թե ակամա չդառնա շոուի մաս։ Խնդիրն ինձ համար այն չէ, որ ամերիկյան կողմը որոշել է խաղաղության շոու անել և մեզ դրա մաս սարքել․ ես առնվազն հասկանում եմ, որ դա որոշ ժամանակով զսպում է Ադրբեջանի ախորժակը, ուստի դրան վատ չեմ կարող նայել։ Ինձ համար այս ամենի մեջ խնդրահարույց է խաղաղության շոուն ֆունդամենտալ խնդիրների լուծմանը չուղղելու քաղաքականությունը։ Այս մասին գրել է ադրբեջանագետ Տաթև Հայրապետյանը:

«Ես լսել եմ «Խաղաղության խորհրդի» անդրանիկ նիստի ժամանակ ԱՄՆ նախագահի հատուկ դեսպանորդ Սթիվ Ուիթքոֆի ելույթը։ Վերջինս պատմում էր, թե Թրամփը ինչ անձնական երջանկություն է ապրել իսրայելա-պաղեստինյան հակամարտության շրջանակներում գերիների ազատ արձակման հարցում իր ցուցաբերած միջնորդությունից։ Նա պատմում է, որ Թրամփը երբեք չի մերժել գերիների ընտանիքների հետ հանդիպման առաջարկները։ Կարճ ասած՝ հատուկ շեշտադրում էր արվում գերիների հարցի վրա, քանի որ գերիների ազատ արձակումը շատ ուղիղ և աներկբա կապված է խաղաղության մասին խոսակցության հետ։

Միայն մեր ղեկավարությունն է, որը առանձնացրել է գերիների ազատ արձակման հարցը խաղաղության գործընթացից ու իբր առանձին է դրա շուրջ բանակցում։ Թրամփը մեր գերիների մասին խոսել է օգոստոսի 8-ին, Վենսը դրա մասին խոսել է Բաքվում։ Բավական է Թրամփի կես խոսք, և ես վստահ եմ՝ Ալիևը ռիսկ չի անի այդ մարդկանց երկար պահել Բաքվում։ Սա Թրամփի հարցը չէ, սա մեր քաղաքական ղեկավարության բանակցային ունակությունների բացակայության հարցն է։ Պետական շահը սպասարկող ղեկավարը կասեր՝ հարց չկա, կմասնակցեմ շոուին, բայց դու էլ այնպես արա, որ իմ քաղաքացիները կարճ ժամկետներում վերադառնան Հայաստան, որ ես երես ունենամ խաղաղությունից խոսելու, ոչ թե խաղաղություն բեմադրեմ մեկի հետ, որը իմ հայրենակիցներին լիովին անտեղի ու անհիմն կոչում է «նացիստ»․․․»,-գրել է նա:
