Եվրախորհրդարանի պատգամավորը ԵՄ-ին կոչ է արել գործնական քայլեր ձեռնարկել Բաքվում պահվող հայ գերիների ազատ արձակման ուղղությամբ

Եվրոպական խորհրդարանում Լյուքսեմբուրգը ներկայացնող պատգամավոր Ֆեռնանդ Կարտհայզերը հերթական անգամ դիմել է ԵՄ արտաքին դիվանագիտության ղեկավարությանը՝ կոչ անելով ավելի հստակ և գործնական քայլեր ձեռնարկել Ադրբեջանում պահվող հայ պատանդների ազատ արձակման ուղղությամբ՝ նախազգուշացնելով, որ խնդիրը կարող է վնասել Հայաստան–Ադրբեջան խաղաղ գործընթացում արձանագրված փխրուն առաջընթացին։
Բրյուսելում «Արմենպրես»-ի թղթակցի փոխանցմամբ՝ Կարտհայզերը Եվրոպական հանձնաժողովի փոխնախագահ, ԵՄ Բարձր ներկայացուցիչ Կայա Կալլասին հղած նամակում ընդգծել է, որ Բաքվում կայացած դատական գործընթացները քաղաքական դրդապատճառներ ունեն և չեն բավարարում օրինականության ու թափանցիկության չափանիշներին։ Եվրախորհրդարանականը ԵՄ-ին կոչ է արել միջամտել՝ նպաստելու պահվող բոլոր հայերի անվերապահ ազատ արձակմանը՝ ընդգծելով նաև միջազգային իրավունքի և մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանության անհրաժեշտությունը։
Կարտհայզերի նամակին ի պատասխան՝ Կայա Կալլասի գրասենյակից նշել են, որ ԵՄ-ն հետևում է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի նախկին ռազմաքաղաքական ղեկավարության ներկայացուցիչների դատավարություններին։
Պատասխանում ընդգծվել է, որ արդար դատաքննության իրավունքն ու կալանքի համարժեք պայմանները հիմնարար իրավունքներ են, և որ ԵՄ-ն կոչ է արել Ադրբեջանի իշխանություններին հարգել իրենց իսկ միջազգային պարտավորությունները։
Կալլասի գրասենյակից հավաստիացրել են, որ ԵՄ-ն շարունակում է խրախուսել կողմերին օգտագործել խաղաղ գործընթացում օգոստոսից ի վեր ստեղծված մթնոլորտը՝ լուծելու դեռ բաց մնացած հարցերը, այդ թվում՝ հումանիտար խնդիրները։
Կարտհայզերը նախորդ տարվա մարտին ևս բարձրաձայնել էր Բաքվում պահվող հայերի հարցը։
Եվրոպական խորհրդարանը շարունակում է Բաքվում ապօրինաբար պահվող գերիների անհապաղ վերադարձի հարցը օրակարգում պահել ու ճնշում բանեցնել՝ շոշափելի արդյունքների հասնելու նպատակով:
