Ժնևում Ուկրաինայի շուրջ բանակցությունների կողմերը զգալի առաջընթաց են գրանցել։ Այս մասին հայտնել է Սպիտակ տան մամուլի քարտուղարը։
«Նախագահը և նրա թիմը հսկայական ժամանակ և ջանքեր են ներդրել այս պատերազմը դադարեցնելու փորձերի մեջ, որը շատ հեռու է Ամերիկայի Միացյալ Նահանգներից։ Բայց, այնուամենայնիվ, նա խաղաղության նախագահն է։ Եվ այդ պատճառով նա հսկայական ռեսուրսներ է ներդրել այս պատերազմը դադարեցնելու համար։ Հենց երեկ տեղի ունեցավ եռակողմ բանակցությունների ևս մեկ փուլ՝ Միացյալ Նահանգների, Ռուսաստանի և Ուկրաինայի միջև։
Երկու կողմերում էլ զգալի առաջընթաց է գրանցվել։ Երկու կողմերն էլ համաձայնվել են տեղեկացնել իրենց առաջնորդներին և շարունակել համատեղ աշխատել խաղաղության համաձայնագրի շուրջ։ Այսպիսով, ապագայում կկայանա բանակցությունների ևս մեկ փուլ։
Սակայն ես կարծում եմ, որ նախագահը այս ամբողջ իրավիճակը համարում է չափազանց անարդար՝ ոչ միայն ռուսների և ուկրաինացիների նկատմամբ, ովքեր կորցրել են իրենց կյանքը, այլև ամերիկացի ժողովրդի և ամերիկացի հարկատուների նկատմամբ, որոնք նախկինում վճարել են այս պատերազմում ռազմական ջանքերի համար, մինչև նախագահ Թրամփը չավարտեց այն։ Եվ ես կցանկանայի հիշեցնել աշխարհին, որ Միացյալ Նահանգները շարունակում է զենք վաճառել ՆԱՏՕ-ին, որը այնուհետև ուղարկվում է Ուկրաինա՝ պաշտպանելու իր ազատությունն ու սահմանները», - ասել է Սպիտակ տան մամուլի քարտուղար Քերոլայն Լևիթը։
