Փաշինյան–եկեղեցի հակամարտությունը նոր փուլ է մտնում, իսկ Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցին, կարծես, որոշել է անցնել կոշտ դիմակայության՝ հասկանալով, որ Փաշինյանի ու նրա թիմի հետ սեթևեթանքների ժամանակաշրջանն ավարտվել է։ Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոս Գարեգին Բ-ն երեկ Սուրբ Ղևոնդյանց քահանաների տոնի առիթով պարգևաբաշխության ավարտին իր հայրապետական պատգամի ժամանակ բացեիբաց ասել է, որ ՀՀ վարչապետի ձեռնարկած հակաեկեղեցական արշավն արդեն բացահայտ է․ այն խոչընդոտում է եկեղեցու առաքելությունը և լրջագույն վնաս հասցնում մեր ժողովրդի հոգևոր–եկեղեցական կյանքին։

«Մեր օրերում լրջագույն հիմնախնդիրների առջև է գտնվում մեր ժողովուրդը, տարատեսակ բռնաճնշումների է ենթարկվում և հարձակումներ է դիմագրավում մեր Սուրբ եկեղեցին։ Դատական ատյաններում, ՀՀ Սահմանադրության և օրենքների բացահայտ խախտումներով, հակաօրինական ու անարդար քայլերով իշխանությունը պետական լծակների չարաշահմամբ միջամտում է ներեկեղեցական կյանքին։ Հոգևորականներ՝ սարկավագներից մինչև եպիսկոպոս, ենթարկվում են հետապնդումների ու պարտադրանքների»,– ընդգծել է Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը։

Նրա խոսքով՝ վերջին ամիսներին ՀՀ իշխանությունների կողմից եկեղեցու և եկեղեցականների թիրախավորմամբ ու հետապնդումներով խաթարվել է ազգային և եկեղեցական մեր կյանքը։ Կաթողիկոսը նշել է, որ ստեղծված իրավիճակը բացասական հետևանքներ և լարվածություն է առաջ բերել համայնքների կյանքում, ինչին, ցավոք, նպաստել է նաև որոշ եկեղեցականների անընդունելի ընթացքը։ Երեկ ավելի վաղ էլ Հայոց Հայրապետը հաստատել էր, որ փետրվարի 16-19-ին Եպիսկոպոսաց ժողովը տեղի կունենա Ավստրիայի Սանկտ Փյոլթըն քաղաքում, եկեղեցու պլանները չեն փոխվել։ Իշխանությունը Գերագույն հոգևոր խորհրդի անդամ վեց եպիսկոպոսի և արքեպիսկոպոսի՝ երկրից չբացակայելու արգելք է դրել։ Մայր Աթոռից հայտնել են, թե հոգևորականները ժողովին մասնակցելու են հեռավար, իսկ այդպիսի մասնակցությունը խնդիր չի կարող առաջացնել իրավաչափության և ընդունված որոշումների վիճարկման հարցում։ Եվ այժմ իշխանությունը, ժողովը խափանելու համար, պետք է նոր մեթոդներ մոգոնի։
