SpaceX-ը հիմնական ուշադրությունը Մարսից տեղափոխում է Լուսին և նպատակ է դնում հաջորդ տասնամյակի ընթացքում կառուցել «ինքնազարգացող քաղաք»։ Այս մասին հայտարարել Է ընկերության հիմնադիր Իլոն Մասկը, փոխանցում է kommersant.ru-ն։
«SpaceX-ն իր ուշադրությունը կենտրոնացրել է Լուսնի վրա ինքնազարգացող քաղաք կառուցելու վրա, քանի որ մենք կարող ենք այդ նպատակին հասնել 10 տարուց Էլ պակաս ժամանակահատվածում, այն դեպքում, երբ Մարսի դեպքում դրա համար կպահանջվի ավելի քան 20 տարի»,-գրել է պարոն Մասկը X սոցիալական ցանցում:
Իլոն Մասկի խոսքով՝ Լուսին հասնելը տեխնիկապես ավելի հեշտ և արագ է. արձակման պատուհանը բացվում է յուրաքանչյուր 10 օրը մեկ, իսկ թռիչքն ինքնին տևում է մոտ երկու օր: Միևնույն ժամանակ, դեպի Մարս թռիչքի պատուհանը հայտնվում է 26 ամիսը մեկ անգամ, իսկ ճանապարհորդության ժամանակը կազմում է մոտ կես ամիս:
SpaceX-ի հիմնադիրը նշել է, որ ընկերությունը նախատեսում է Մարսի վրա քաղաքի կառուցման աշխատանքները սկսել 5-7 տարի հետո:
