Երեկ՝ փետրվարի 7-ին, խոշոր ավտովթար է տեղի ունեցել Երևանում։ Ժամը 23:30-ի սահմաններում Հասրաթյան-Շիրազ-Ջանիբեկյան փողոցների խաչմերուկում բախվել են 23-ամյա Էդգար Ա.-ի վարած «Range Rover» մակնիշի և 48-ամյա Արթուր Պ.-ի վարած «Mercedes E200» մակնիշի ավտոմեքենաները։
Ինչպես դեպքի վայրից հայտնում է ֆոտոլրագրող Գագիկ Շամշյանը, վթարի հետևանքով 2 հոգի տեղափոխվել են Երևանի տարբեր հիվանդանոցներ։
Վթարի մասին ՊԾ Երևան քաղաքի գնդից տեղեկությունը փոխանցել են ՀՀ քննչական կոմիտեի Երևան քաղաքի քննչական վարչության ճանապարհատրանսպորտային հանցագործությունների քննության բաժին, որտեղից ժամանել է քննչական խումբը՝ բաժնի պետի տեղակալներ Գրիգոր Ավետիսյանի, Արմեն Հովհաննիսյանի և ավագ քննիչ Դավիթ Նալբանդյանի գլխավորությամբ։
Վթարի փաստով քննչական բաժնում նախաձեռնվել է քրեական վարույթ, որտեղ էլ պարզում են վիրավորների ինքնությունը։
Քննիչի հանձնարարականով ավտոմեքենաները տեղափոխվել են ՊԾ Երևան քաղաքի գնդի պահպանվող հատուկ տարածք։
Ֆոտոլրագրողը հայտնում է՝ բախման հետևանքով «Range Rover»-ը դուրս է եկել երթևեկելի գոտուց, անցել բազալտե եզրաքարի վրայով, կոտրել հարևանությամբ կառուցվող բարձրահարկ շենքի համար տեղադրված պաշտպանիչ երկաթե պարիսպը, ապա բախվել ծառին։
