Կլիմայի փոփոխության պատճառով ձմեռային Օլիմպիական խաղերը վտանգի տակ են։ Այս մասին սոցցանցի իր էջում գրում է Հիդրոօդերևութաբանության և մոնիթորինգի կենտրոնի տնօրեն Լևոն Ազիզյանը։

«Ներկայումս աշխարհում հաշվարկվում է 93 քաղաք, որոնք ունեն ձմեռային Օլիմպիական և Պարաօլիմպիական խաղերի անցկացման համար անհրաժեշտ ենթակառուցվածքներ։ Սակայն, մոլորակի շարունակական տաքացման պայմաններում այդ հնարավոր քաղաքների շրջանակը արագորեն նեղանում է։ Այս շաբաթ հրապարակված ուսումնասիրության համաձայն՝ մինչև 2050 թվականը ընդամենը չորս քաղաք կկարողանան ընդունել ձմեռային Օլիմպիական խաղերը առանց արհեստական ձյան օգտագործման։ Այս մասին գրում է Observer-ը։

Այս խնդիրը առանցքային տեղ է զբաղեցնում Միջազգային օլիմպիական կոմիտեի (ՄՕԿ) օրակարգում, որը պատրաստվում է հաջորդ ամիս Իտալիայի Միլան-Կորտինա քաղաքներում կայանալիք 2026 թվականի ձմեռային Օլիմպիական խաղերի մեկնարկին։ Կառավարող մարմինը դիտարկում է մի շարք տարբերակներ՝ բարձրացող ջերմաստիճանների խնդրին արձագանքելու համար․ Օլիմպիական և Պարաօլիմպիական խաղերի միավորում, խաղերի անցկացում տարբեր քաղաքներում կամ նույնիսկ խաղերի ավանդական մեկնարկի ժամկետների փոփոխություն՝ տարվա առավել ցուրտ ամիսներից առավելագույն օգուտ քաղելու նպատակով։

Գլոբալ տաքացման հետևանքները ժամանակի ընթացքում միայն կխորանան։ Ուսումնասիրության համաձայն՝ այն 93 երկրներից, որոնք նախկինում ընդունել են կամ կարող են ընդունել ձմեռային Օլիմպիական խաղերը (որոնք ավանդաբար անցկացվում են փետրվարին), մինչև 2050-ական թվականները կլիմայական պահանջներին կհամապատասխանեն ընդամենը 45–55-ը, իսկ մինչև 2080-ական թվականները այդ թիվը կնվազի մինչև 30-54։

Ջերմաստիճանի բարձրացումը ազդեցություն է ունենում ոչ միայն ձմեռային Օլիմպիական խաղերի վրա։ Ամառային Օլիմպիական խաղերն նույնպես արդեն բախվում են լուրջ մարտահրավերների․ 2020 թվականի Տոկիոյի ամառային Օլիմպիական խաղերի ժամանակ մարաթոնային վազքերը տեղափոխվեցին Սապպորո՝ ծայրահեղ շոգից խուսափելու նպատակով։ Իսկ 2032 թվականի Բրիսբենի ամառային Օլիմպիական խաղերը կանցկացվեն ձմռանը, ոչ թե ամռանը՝ ավելի զով եղանակից օգտվելու համար»,- գրել է Ազիզյանը։
