Այստեղ ենք՝ հասկանալու, թե եկեղեցու և պետության միջև ճգնաժամը նոյեմբերից հետո ինչպես է փոխվել, հրավիրված ասուլիսի ժամանակ հայտարարեց Քրիստոնեական համերաշխության միջազգային կազմակերպության նախագահ Ջոն Էյբները։
Նա նշեց, որ այս ընթացքում հանդիպել են մարդու իրավունների պաշտպանների և փաստաբանների հետ, Էջմիածնում կաթողիկոս Գարեգին Երկրորդի հետ, տեսան, որ նա ամուր, վճռականությամբ կանգնած է՝ պաշտպանելու ազգին, հոտին և կատարելու իր պարտականությունները։
«Այսօր առավոտյան կարողացանք բանտում այցելել արքեպիսկոպոս Բագրատ Գալստանյանին։ Նա նույն բանտում է, որտեղ 1937 թվականին սպանվել է Բագրատ արքեպիսկոպոս Վարդազարյանը՝ խորհրդային ուժերի կողմից։ Մենք շատ ուրախ ենք նրան տեսնել քաջ առողջությամբ, բարձր տրամադրությամբ։ Նա չի դժգոհում իր պայմաններից։ Ի դեպ, արքեպիսկոպոսը մեզ ասաց, որ իր համար մեծ շնորհ է իր ազգին ծառայել բանտախցից։ Զարմանալիորեն նա դրական է տրամադրված՝ վստահ լինելով, որ ի վերջո արդարությունը, հաշտությունը գերիշխելու է Հայաստանում», - ասաց Ջոն Էյբները։
Նրա խոսքով՝ Բագրատ Սրբազանը իրենց երկու նամակ է տվել, որոնցից մեկն ուղղված է միջազգային կրոնական ազատության վեհաժողովին, որն այս պահին տեղի է ունենում Վաշինգտոնում, իսկ մյուսը՝ ԱՄՆ փոխնախագահ Վենսին, որը շուտով կայցելի Հայաստան և Ադրբեջան։
Նշենք, որ Նոյեմբերին Christian Solidarity International-ի պատվիրակությունը փաստահավաք առաքելությամբ այցելել է Հայաստանի Հանրապետություն՝ մասնակցելով նաև առաջին Աղոթքի նախաճաշին։ Պատվիրակությունը հանդիպումներ է ունեցել տեղական քաղաքացիական հասարակության ներկայացուցիչների, ինչպես նաև կալանավորված անձանց ընտանիքի անդամների և նրանց փաստաբանների հետ։ Մինչ Վաշինգտոնում (ԱՄՆ) ընթանում է Կրոնական ազատության միջազգային գագաթնաժողովը, CSI-ի պատվիրակությունը կրկին վերադառնում է Հայաստան՝ նոր փաստահավաք այցի նպատակով։
