Քննչական կոմիտեն վերաորակել է Սանկտ Պետերբուրգի առևտրի կենտրոնում հաճախորդի մահվան վերաբերյալ քրեական գործը՝ որպես մի խումբ անձանց կողմից կատարված սպանություն։

Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության քննչական կոմիտեի Սանկտ Պետերբուրգի գլխավոր քննչական վարչության տվյալներով՝ դատաբժշկական փորձաքննությունը պարզել է, որ տղամարդը մահացել է մեխանիկական շնչահեղձության հետևանքով։ Արդյունքում, կասկածյալների գործողությունները որակվել են Ռուսաստանի քրեական օրենսգրքի 105-րդ հոդվածի 2-րդ մասի «գ» կետով (սպանություն, որը կատարվել է մի խումբ անձանց կողմից)։ Գործը փոխանցվել է գերատեսչության հատկապես կարևոր գործերի քննության առաջին վարչություն՝ հետագա քննության համար։

Սպանության մեջ կասկածվողները կալանավորվել են։ Նրանց շուտով մեղադրանք կառաջադրվի, և դատարան կներկայացվի նախնական կալանքի միջնորդություն։

Ավելի վաղ հաղորդվել էր, որ հունվարի 21-ի երեկոյան Կոլոմյաժսկի պողոտայի վրա գտնվող առևտրի կենտրոնում 24-ամյա հաճախորդի և անվտանգության աշխատակցի միջև գողության պատճառով բախում է տեղի ունեցել։ Տղամարդը մահացել է հիվանդանոցում։ Անմիջապես ձերբակալվել են 64 և 19 տարեկան երեք անվտանգության աշխատակիցներ, ինչպես նաև 18-ամյա մաքրող աշխատող, իսկ 32-ամյա մեկ այլ անվտանգության աշխատակից փախել է դեպքի վայրից։
