Կատարի իշխանությունները պաշտոնական հրավեր են ստացել միանալու Գազայի հատվածը կառավարող Խաղաղության խորհրդին։ Այս մասին հայտարարել է Կատարի վարչապետ և արտաքին գործերի նախարար շեյխ Մոհամմեդ բին Աբդուլռահման ալ Թանին՝ ելույթ ունենալով Դավոսում ընթացող Համաշխարհային տնտեսական ֆորումում։
«Այո, մեզ հրավիրել են միանալ այս խորհրդին։ Իհարկե, մենք ուրախ ենք մեր տարածաշրջանում խաղաղության և կայունության հասնելուն նպաստելու համար»,-ասել է Կատարի վարչապետը՝ պատասխանելով այն հարցին, թե արդյոք Դոհան մաս է կազմում Վաշինգտոնի առաջարկած Խաղաղության խորհրդին։
Մոհամմեդ բին Աբդուլ Ռահման ալ Թանին չի մանրամասնել, թե Կատարի ղեկավարության որ անդամներն են մասնակցելու այս կառույցի աշխատանքներին։
«Գազայի զինադադարի համաձայնագրի իրականացման առաջին փուլը չի նշանակում, որ համաձայնագիրն ավարտված է։ Մենք դեռ շատ աշխատանք ունենք անելու, և կարծում եմ, որ այս խաղաղության գործընթացին միացող բոլոր երկրները պետք է քրտնաջան աշխատեն և ապահովեն, որ Խաղաղության խորհուրդը գործի այնպես, որ ծառայի իր նպատակին և դառնա կայունացնող գործոն»,-հավելել է նա։
