Հանդիպում կկայանա  Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի գործարար շրջանակների միջև, Դավոսի համաշխարհային տնտեսական ֆորումի շրջանակում  «Եվրասիայի տնտեսական ինքնության սահմանումը» թեմայով պանելային նիստի իր ելույթում ասել է ՀՀ նախագահ Վահագն Խաչատուրյանը։

ՀՀ նախագահի պաշտոնական կայքում ոչինչ չկա Վահագն Խաչատուրյանի այս ելույթի մասին, իսկ ադրբեջանական APA-ն այն արդեն տարածել է։

«Իմ քաղաքական կարիերայի ընթացքում ես միշտ փորձել եմ օգտակար լինել խաղաղության գործին, քանի որ հստակ հասկանում եմ մեկ բան՝ եթե ունես հարևաններ, պետք է ապրես նրանց հետ խաղաղության մեջ, այդ թվում՝ առօրյա կյանքում։ Այլ ճանապարհ չկա։ Ցանկացած այլ ուղի նշանակում է վեճեր, հակամարտություններ և ժամանակի վատնում։ Հետևաբար, ես իսկապես լավատես եմ և վստահ, որ մենք կհաջողենք։ Մենք նաև կունենանք համատեղ տնտեսական և մշակութային նախագծեր։ Մեր երկրների քաղաքացիական հասարակությունների ներկայացուցիչները հանդիպել են։ Հաջորդ անգամ կլինեն հանդիպումներ գործարար շրջանակների միջև», - հայտարարել է Հայաստանի նախագահը։

Վահագն Խաչատուրյանը նաև նշել է, որ երևանցիներն այժմ կարող են ադրբեջանական վառելիք գնել իրենց մեքենաների համար։

 «Եթե դուք սա մի քանի տարի առաջ ասեիք, դա կառաջացներ թշնամական արձագանք:  Բայց սա այն նոր իրականությունն է, որում մենք ապրում ենք»,-ասել է նա:

 Վահագն Խաչատրյանը վստահություն է հայտնել, որ Ադրբեջանի հետ սահմանը բաց կլինի։

«Մենք կբացենք սահմանները։ Վստահ եմ, որ մի քանի տարի անց սա կդառնա սովորական երևույթ ոչ միայն ամենաբարձր քաղաքական մակարդակում, այլև այն ժամանակ, երբ Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի քաղաքացիները հատեն սահմանը, համագործակցեն միմյանց հետ և վայելեն փոխադարձ օգուտներ», - հայտարարել է ՀՀ նախագահը։
