Մեր ժողովուրդը թալանչիների մասին ունի կարծրացած պատկերացումներ, իբր նրանք պարտադիր պետք է լինեն մեծ գլխով, որովայնով ու «ջիպով», ինչպես նաև հաստ ոսկյա շղթաներով և տափակ ուղեղով։
Արդարության համար պետք է նշել, որ այս պատկերացումը հենց այնպես չի ձևավորվել մեր հայրենակիցների մոտ․ այդ կարծրատիպային մոտեցումը ունի իր տրամաբանական և պատմական բացատրությունը։
Այնուամենայնիվ, պետք է հստակ հասկանալ, որ պարգևավճարների, «ավելացումների», «հավելավճարների» այն տեղատարափը, որը տեղի է ունեցել կառավարությունում, թալանի դրսևորում է։
Մարդիկ, որոնք նպատակահարմար չեն գտնում թոշակառուների թոշակները բարձրացնել, պետության, այն է՝ ժողովրդի միջոցները բաժանել են իրար մեջ և դրա մասին խոսում են այնպես, կարծես թե ոչինչ տեղի չի ունեցել։
