Դեռևս դեկտեմբերի 17-ի իմ հարցազրույցում ես կանխատեսել էի, որ սիրիացի մարդասպան վարձկաններին հետ են վերադարձնելու ու դիմացը շատ փոքրաթիվ գերիներ են ազատ արձակելու։ Այս մասին գրել է ադրբեջանագետ Տաթևիկ Հայրապետյանը:
«Ես շատ ուրախ եմ մեր չորս հայրենակիցների ազատ արձակման ու հայրենիք վերադառնալու առթիվ, առավել ևս, որ նրանցից երկուսն ունեին լուրջ առողջական խնդիրներ։ Բարով են վերադարձել։
Բայց ես պնդում եմ, որ եթե իշխանության գտնվողները լինեին կամային հատկանիշներով օժտված ու մի քիչ վերլուծական ունակություններ ունեցող բանակցողներ, մենք կունենայինք բոլոր գերևերված հայրենակիցների վերադարձ։ Հարց տվեք՝ եթե այդ երկու սիրիացիները այդքան կարևոր էին Ադրբեջանի համար, ուրեմն նրանք գիտեին բաներ, որոնք կարելի էր ուղղել հենց Ադրբեջանի դեմ։ Այդ ամենի դիմաց նվազագույնը կարելի էր ստանալ մեր բոլոր հայրենակիցների վերադարձը, և վերջնական փակել այս թեման․․.»,-գրել է նա:
