Հնագետները Բայուդա անապատում (Սուդան) հայտնաբերել են միջին տարիքի տղամարդու դիակ, որը ապրել է մ.թ.ա. 2050-1750 թվականներին: Դիակը թվագրվում է Կերմայի վաղ թագավորությանը, որը հին նուբիական քաղաքակրթություն էր, որը սահմանակից էր Եգիպտոսին: Հայտնագործությունը համարվում է Կերմայի մշակույթում նախկինում անհայտ հուղարկավորության ծեսի առաջին ապացույցը :
Օվալաձև դամբարանում հայտնաբերվել են կմախք, տարածաշրջանին բնորոշ 82 կապույտ ապակեպատ պարանոցի ուլունքներ և շրջված դատարկ աման, որը մեկնաբանվում է որպես «կյանքի դատարկության» խորհրդանիշ: Հատկապես հետաքրքիր է եզակի կուժը, որը պարունակում է կենդանիների ոսկորների, բույսերի (ոսպ, լոբազգիներ, հացահատիկներ) և միջատների (բզեզներ) այրված մնացորդներ: Հայտնաբերվել են նաև կոպրոլիտ և ակացիայի փայտ : Կուժն ինքնին կրակի հետքեր չունի. դրա պարունակությունը, հավանաբար, ներսում է դրվել ծիսական կրակից հետո:
