Եվրոպան և Աֆրիկան մինչև 2040 թվականը կարող են կապվել ստորջրյա եզակի թունելով

Մարոկկոյի իշխանությունները վերսկսել են Ջիբրալթարի նեղուցի տակով անցնող ստորջրյա երկաթուղային թունելի ստեղծման հավակնոտ ենթակառուցվածքային նախագծի քննարկումը, որը կարող է ուղղակիորեն կապել Եվրոպան և Աֆրիկան. գրում է Express-ը։
Նման կառույցի գաղափարը քննարկվում է 20-րդ դարի վերջից, սակայն միայն հիմա՝ տեխնիկական հետազոտությունների շնորհիվ, այն կրկին հայտնվում է օրակարգում։
Նախագիծը նախատեսում է շուրջ 42 կիլոմետր երկարությամբ թունելի կառուցում, որից մոտ 28 կիլոմետրը կանցնի ջրի տակով՝ ծովի մակարդակից ավելի քան 470 մետր խորության վրա. դա ավելի խորն է, քան Լա Մանշի տակով անցնող հայտնի Եվրոթունելը։ Այն պետք է ձգվի հարավային Իսպանիայից (Կադիս նահանգի Պունտա Պալոմայի մոտակայքից) մինչև հյուսիսմարոկկոյական տարածաշրջան՝ Տանժերի մոտ գտնվող Մալաբատա հրվանդանը։
Իսպանական իշխանությունների պատվերով գերմանական ընկերության իրականացրած վերջին ինժեներական հետազոտությունները հաստատել են նման թունելի տեխնիկական իրագործելիությունը ժամանակակից շինարարական տեխնոլոգիաներով՝ չնայած տարածաշրջանի բնական և երկրաբանական բարդություններին, մասնավորապես՝ նեղուցի խորությանը և տեկտոնական պայմաններին։
Եթե նախագիծն արժանանա քաղաքական հավանության, նախապատրաստական աշխատանքները կարող են սկսվել մոտավորապես 2030 թվականից, իսկ շինարարության հիմնական փուլը նախատեսվում է իրականացնել 2035-2040 թվականներին։ Այս ժամկետները մոտավոր են և կարող են փոփոխվել՝ կախված պլանավորման ընթացքից և երկրների միջև համաձայնեցումներից։
Նախագծի գնահատված արժեքը կազմում է առնվազն 15 միլիարդ եվրո։ Ակնկալվում է, որ Իսպանիան կներդնի շուրջ 8,5-9 միլիարդ եվրո, իսկ մնացած մասը կֆինանսավորի Մարոկկոն։
Թունելի կառուցման դեպքում այն կապահովի ուղղակի երկաթուղային հաղորդակցություն երկու մայրցամաքների միջև, ինչը նոր հնարավորություններ կբացի ուղևորափոխադրումների և բեռնափոխադրումների, առևտրի ու զբոսաշրջության համար, ինչպես նաև կամրապնդի տնտեսական և մշակութային փոխգործակցությունը Եվրոպայի ու Հյուսիսային Աֆրիկայի միջև։
