«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

ria.ru–ն «Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցու քահանան բացատրել է արևմտյան արժեքների պարտադրման հետևանքները» վերնագրով հոդվածում գրում է, որ Հայաստանի ներկայիս իշխանության կողմից արևմտյան «արժեքների» պարտադրումը հանգեցնում է հայ ժողովրդի դեգրադացիայի, ria.ru–ի հետ զրույցում նման կարծիք է հայտնել Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցու (ՀԱԵ) քահանա Գևորգը (Վարդանյան)։ «Այսօր Հայաստանում տեղի ունեցող ամեն ինչ Ուկրաինայի իրավիճակային նախատիպն է, քանի որ հասարակությունն ու Եկեղեցին բաժանելով՝ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի կառավարությունը քանդում է հայ ժողովրդի հիմքերն ու ինքնությունը։ Եվ երբ ազգային Եկեղեցու հիմքը քանդվում է, ժողովրդի հիմքն է քանդվում, և մարդիկ կլանում են արևմտյան գաղափարները։ Մենք նրանց լավ գիտենք։ Արևմուտքում չեն խթանում ավանդական արժեքները, ընտանեկան արժեքները, ազգային արժեքները։ Սա հանգեցնում է դեգրադացիայի»,- ասել է ՀԱԵ քահանան։ Հոգևորականի խոսքով, հայ ժողովուրդը միշտ հավատարիմ է եղել Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցու ավանդույթներին և կանոններին, բայց այսօր Հայաստանի իշխանություններն անում են ամեն ինչ, որ «ամեն ինչ փոխեն իրենց ճաշակով»։ «Եվ մեր հասարակությանը խորթ նման գաղափարների արմատավորման պատճառով, ցավոք, կարող է տեղի ունենալ ժողովրդի դեգրադացիա։ Բայց մենք՝ ողջամիտ մարդիկ, կպայքարենք դրա դեմ և կհաղթենք, որովհետև Աստված մեզ հետ է», - նշել է քահանա Գևորգը։

Հիշեցնենք, որ Փաշինյանը ձգտում է Ամենայն հայոց կաթողիկոս Գարեգին Բ-ի հրաժարականին՝ նրա հետ ունեցած տարաձայնությունների պատճառով, այդ թվում՝ Ղարաբաղյան հարցի շուրջ։ Մասնավորապես, Գարեգին Բ-ն կոչ էր արել վարչապետին հրաժարական տալ 2020 թվականին՝ Ղարաբաղում հակամարտության սրումից հետո։ Կաթողիկոսին հեռացնելու համար Փաշինյանը մշակել է Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցին (ՀԱԵ) «նորոգելու» ծրագիր՝ առաջարկելով կաթողիկոսական գահի ժամանակավոր տեղապահ նշանակել և նոր եկեղեցական կանոնադրություն ընդունել մինչև նոր կաթողիկոսի ընտրությունը։ Իշխանությունների և Եկեղեցու միջև հակամարտությունը ուղեկցվում է հոգևորականների հետապնդումներով։ Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցու չորս ավագ հոգևորական ներկայում բանտարկված է տարբեր մեղադրանքներով։ ՀԱԵ-ն նրանց հետապնդումները համարում է անօրինական։ Սամվել Կարապետյանը՝ գործարար և բարերար, ով մեծ ներդրումներ է կատարել Հայաստանի զարգացման գործում և պաշտպանել է Եկեղեցին, ձերբակալվել է, ինչը վրդովմունք է առաջացրել Հայաստանի և հայկական սփյուռքի բազմաթիվ անդամների շրջանում։
