ՆԱՏՕ-ն հայտարարել է, որ երկարատև պատերազմի համար դաշինքը բավականաչափ դիմացկուն չէ

ՆԱՏՕ-ի ռազմական ուժերը դեռևս դիմացկուն չեն երկարատև հակամարտության համար, զգուշացրել է դաշինքի գլխավոր ռազմածովային հրամանատարը՝ սրելով մտահոգությունները, որ Եվրոպան դեռևս պատրաստ չէ Ռուսաստանի հետ երկարատև բախման: Դրա մասին Bloomberg-ին տված հարցազրույցում հայտարարել է դաշինքի միացյալ ծովային հրամանատարությունը գլխավորող Թագավորական նավատորմի փոխծովակալ Մայք Աթլին:
Մայք Աթլին նշել է, որ արևմտյան զինված ուժերը պետք է պատրաստվեն ավելի բարդ մարտադաշտի, որը ներառում է ինչպես կիբեր, այնպես էլ ռազմական սպառնալիքներ: Նա նշել է, որ Հյուսիսատլանտյան դաշինքի կազմակերպությունը Ռուսաստանի նկատմամբ առավելություն ունի, սակայն պարտադիր չէ, որ կարողանա դիմակայել երկարատև մարտական գործողությունների:
«Արդյո՞ք մենք ունենք այն դիմացկունությունը, որը կցանկանայինք ունենալ: Կարծում եմ՝ վերջին 10 ամիսների մեկնաբանությունները ցույց են տվել, որ ոչ, չունենք»,- ասել է նա:
«Բայց երկրները լավ գիտակցում են դա և պատրաստ են ներդրումներ կատարել այդ հնարավորություններում՝ մեր դիմացկունությունը բարելավելու համար»,- հավելել է նա:
Սակայն, ըստ Աթլիի, ՆԱՏՕ-ի ներդրումները «ժամանակի ընթացքում» կբավարարեն մարտահրավերների շրջանակը:
«Ես իրատես եմ. փողը խնդիր է, և մեր բոլոր դաշնակիցներն ունեն բազմաթիվ մրցակցային առաջնահերթություններ՝ կապված հարկատուների փողերը ծախսելու հետ,- ասել է նա: -Ես չեմ ձևացնի, թե յուրաքանչյուր ցենտ պետք է ծախսվի պաշտպանության վրա՝ յուրաքանչյուր հասանելի հնարավորության համար: Խոսքը առաջնահերթությունների մասին է»:
Չնայած ձգձգվող հակամարտության ներկայիս պատրաստվածության վերաբերյալ իր վերապահումներին, Աթլին կարծում է, որ ՆԱՏՕ-ի անդամները ստանձնում են անհրաժեշտ պարտավորությունները:
«Կարծո՞ւմ եմ արդյոք, թե ամեն ինչ ճիշտ ուղղությամբ է ընթանում: Անշուշտ: Այո, որովհետև այդպես է»,- նշել է նա:
