Արդ, եկավ այն ճակատագրական օրը, երբ Նեռը որոշեց գրոհել Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածինը: Որպես փոքրոգի և նենգ բանսարկու, նա փորձելու է դա անել այլոց ձեռքով, թաքնվելով նրանց թիկունքում, նրանց իսկ ձեռքերով շագանակներ հանել մեր երկիրը ճարակող կրակի միջից, և դրանք որպես հավատարմության նշան, մատուցել հետո իր օտարերկրյա տերերին:

Եկեղեցու դեմ ձեռնարկած արշավի առաջին իսկ օրվանից, մենք վճռական պաշտպանել ենք այն, նրա անկախությունը, նրա իրավունքը՝ իր խնդիրները լուծել իր ներսում: Որպես հավատացյալ մարդիկ, մենք գիտակցել ենք, որ որևէ մեկս սուրբ չէ, բայց յուրաքանչյուրս ունենք ապաշխարհելու, մեր մեղքերից մաքրվելու, և դրանով մեր կատարյալ Աստծուն մոտենալու բնական և անօտարելի իրավունք: Մեր այդ իրավունքը մենք պաշտպանելու ենք այսօր և առհավետ, քանզի այլապես մենք կդադարենք քրիստոնյա լինելուց, ու կընղմվենք բռնատիրության խավարի մեջ, երբ մի ինքնահռչակ կուռք փորձում է ստրկացնել և կառավարել մեր հոգիները:

Այսօր այն օրն է, երբ Նեռը պետք է նահանջի, վերջնականապես գիտակցելով, որ իրեն չի հաջողվել ստրկացնել հայ մարդուն և շղթայել նրա հոգին: Դրանում յուրաքանչյուրս անելիք ունենք՝ մեր զուսպ, բայց վճռական ներկայությամբ պաշտպանելով մեր սրբությունները, մեր միասնությամբ վանելով նրանց նկատմամբ ոտնձգողներին, և մեր հավատով և բարեպաշտությամբ կանխելով ցանկացած երկպառակություն: Իրենց կարևոր անելիքն ունեն նաև մեր Եկեղեցու հայրերը՝ ինքնամաքրման ճանապարհով զորացնելով մեր հոգու տունը, և փորձության մեջից դուրս բերելով այն առավե, ուժեղ և կենսունակ:

Կհանդիպենք այսօր Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնում: Աստված զորավիգ իր սուրբ Եկեղեցուն, և նրա բոլոր հավատավոր զավակներին:
