Բրիտանական հեղինակավոր The Guardian պարբերականը սկսում է 2025 թվականի աշխարհի 100 լավագույն ֆուտբոլիստների հրապարակման գործընթացը։ Այս տարի հաղթողներին որոշող ընդլայնված ժյուրիի կազմում ընդգրկվել են համաշխարհային ֆուտբոլի լեգենդներ, մարզիչներ և լրագրողներ։
Հայկական ֆուտբոլի համար հատկանշական է, որ 219 հոգուց բաղկացած հեղինակավոր ժյուրիի կազմում ընդգրկվել է Հայաստանի ազգային հավաքականի նախկին պաշտպան, այժմ «Ուրարտուի» գլխավոր մարզիչ Ռոբերտ Արզումանյանը։ Նա իր ձայնն է տվել տարվա լավագույններին որոշելու համար։
Այս տարի The Guardian-ի փորձագիտական խմբում ընդգրկվել են իսկական գրանդներ։ Ռոբերտ Արզումանյանի հետ միասին քվեարկությանը մասնակցել են աշխարհի չեմպիոններ բրազիլացիներ Ռոմարիոն և Դունգան, գերմանացի լեգենդներ Ֆիլիպ Լամը, Թոմաս Հիցլշպերգերը և Դիդի Համանը։ Ժյուրիի կազմում են նաև Ժունինյո Պերնամբուկանոն, Խավիեր Ձանետին և այլ հայտնի անուններ:
Նախկին ֆուտբոլիստները, որոնք մասնակցել են քվեարկությանը, միասին վերցրած ունեն 904 հանդիպում իրենց ազգային հավաքականների կազմում։
Յուրաքանչյուր փորձագետ ներկայացրել է իր լավագույն 40 ֆուտբոլիստների ցանկը։ 1-ին տեղը ստացել է 40 միավոր, 2-րդը՝ 39 և այդպես շարունակ։ Բոլոր միավորները գումարվել են՝ վերջնական աղյուսակը կազմելու համար։
Լավագույն 100 ֆուտբոլիստների անունները կհրապարակվեն փուլ առ փուլ՝ սկսած դեկտեմբերի 16-ից.
