Դերասանը մահացել է կաթվածի հետևանքով: Նա հայտնի է նաև «Վերջին կայսրը», «Մարդը բարձր ամրոցում» ֆիլմերում իր դերերով։
2016 թվականին Տագավան ստացել է ՌԴ քաղաքացիություն։ Նա ունի երեք երեխա և երկու թոռ։
