Կասպից ծովի ափին հայտնաբերվել է ավելի քան 320 սատկած փոկ։ Սատկած կենդանիները գտնվել են Սուլակ գետի և Թերեք գետի միջև ընկած ափին, ТАСС-ին հայտնել են տարածաշրջանային արտակարգ իրավիճակների ծառայությունները։
«Սուլակ գետի ափից մինչև Թերեք 322 սատկած փոկի լեշ է հայտնաբերվել»,- հայտնել է աղբյուրը՝ նշելով, որ հայտնաբերված կենդանիների թիվը կարող է իրականում ավելի մեծ լինել։
Ավելի վաղ Դաղստանի բնական պաշարների նախարարության թելեգրամյան ալիքը հայտնել էր, որ նախարարությունը սկսել է փոկերի մահվան մասին հաղորդագրություններ ստանալ։ Նախարարությունում նշել են, որ մասնագետներն ափամերձ գծի տեղում հետազոտություն են սկսել։
Նախարարությունում հավելել են, որ կասպիական փոկերի մահերը դիտվում են ամեն տարի կաթնասունների միգրացիայի ժամանակաշրջանում։ Գիտնականները կարծում են, որ այդ երևույթի հիմնական պատճառը կենդանիների խեղդամահությունն է, երբ նրանք անցնում են ծովի հատակից սեյսմիկ ակտիվությամբ պայմանավորված բնական գազերի արտանետումների գոտիներով։
Կասպից ծովի փոկը, կամ կասպիական ներպան, Կասպից ծովի միակ կաթնասունն է։ 2008 թվականին Բնության պահպանության միջազգային միությունը (IUCN) ներպային դասակարգել էր անհետացման վտանգի ենթակա կենդանատեսակ։ 2015 թվականին Դաղստանում այդ կենդանատեսակի պահպանության ծրագիր էին ընդունել։ 2020 թվականին Կասպյան փոկն ընդգրկվել է Ռուսաստանի Կարմիր գրքում։
