Միքայել Գրիգորյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրել է․
ՀՀ 3-րդ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանի՝ ՌԴ Նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինին ուղղված 2016 թվականի նամակը պարզապես հերթական դիվանագիտական փաստաթուղթ չէ․
այն հստակ արձանագրում է այն պետական մտածողությունը, որի շնորհիվ Հայաստանը տարիներ շարունակ կարողացել էր պահել և պաշտպանել Արցախի ինքնորոշման իրավունքը, բանակցային գործընթացի հավասարակշռությունը և ապահովել ժողովրդի անվտանգության երաշխիքները։
Նամակում ներկայացված դիրքորոշումը կառուցված էր մեկ պարզ տրամաբանությամբ․ ոչ մի տարածքային փոփոխություն առանց իրավական կարգավիճակի հստակեցման։
Սա այն քաղաքական գիծն էր, որի դեպքում նույնիսկ ամենաբարդ փուլերում հնարավոր էր պահպանել Արցախի պետականությունը, բնակչության անվտանգությունը և պատերազմի հավանականություն հասցնել գրեթե զրոյի։
Այն, ինչ այսօր ներկայացվում է որպես սենսացիոն «հրապարակում», իրականում հիշեցում է, թե ինչ մակարդակի պատասխանատվությամբ էր Հայաստանը գործում Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանի կառավարման տարիներին․
-Ադրբեջանը մերժում էր փոխզիջումները, խախտում էր զինադադարը,
-իսկ Հայաստանը չէր պատրաստվում գնալ միակողմանի զիջումների և պահանջում էր միջազգայինորեն ամրագրված մեխանիզմներ՝ Արցախի ապագան պաշտպանելու համար։
Սա այն քաղաքական «մաթեմատիկան» էր, որի արդյունքում Հայաստանը կարողացավ պահել և պահեց Արցախը:
Եվ հենց այդ մոտեցման շնորհիվ էր, որ 2016-ից հետո հնարավոր դարձավ ձեռք բերել ռազմավարական և դիվանագիտական այնպիսի դիրք, որը թույլ էր տալիս հանդես գալ ՀԱՂԹՈՂԻ դիրքից:
Այն ժամանակ բանակցային սեղանին դեռ պահպանվում էին իրավական ու քաղաքական գործիքներ, որոնք հնարավորություն էին տալիս Արցախին պահպանել սուբյեկտայնությունը։ Եթե այդ մոտեցման գոնե փոքր մասը պահպանվեր, Հայաստանը չէր հայտնվի այսօրվա լիակատար կորուստների ու պարտադրանքների առաջ։
Այս նամակը նոստալգիա չէ․ սա հստակ պատմական ապացույց է, որ Սերժ Սարգսյանի ժամանակ Հայաստանը ուներ պինդ ողնաշար, ուներ հստակ սահմանված կարմիր գծեր, և իհարկե պետական մտածողությունը ամենինչից վեր էր գտվում։
