Հայ Առաքելական եկեղեցու Արցախի թեմական խորհուրդը հայտարարություն է տարածել.
«Արցախի թեմական խորհուրդը հայտնում է իր խոր անհանգստությունն ու մտահոգությունը՝ կապված վերջին օրերին հանրային մեծ հնչեղություն ստացած Արցախի թեմակալ առաջնորդի գործելակերպի և դիրքորոշումների հետ: Խորհուրդը թեմակալ առաջնորդի քայլերի մասին նախապես տեղեկացված չի եղել, և այն չի բխել մեր միասնական դիրքորոշումից ու ներարցախյան քննարկումների տրամաբանությունից։ Բազմաթիվ արցախցիների մոտ այս քայլը առաջացրել է զայրույթ, վրդովմունք և անվստահություն, ինչը մենք լիովին հասկանալի ենք համարում։
Այս կապակցությամբ հանդիպել ենք Արցախի թեմի առաջնորդի հետ ու լսել նրա տեսակետն ու մեկնաբանությունները։ Պետք է հստակ արձանագրենք, որ չենք կարող կիսել և դատապարտում ենք այդ մոտեցումները, քանի որ դրանք չեն արտացոլում Արցախի ժողովրդի դիրքորոշումն ու սպասումները։
Թեմական խորհուրդը վերահաստատում է իր համոզումը, որ բոլոր եկեղեցական հարցերը պետք է լուծվեն բացառապես եկեղեցու ներսում՝ համապատասխան կանոնակարգերի, ավանդության և ազգային արժեհամակարգի սկզբունքով։
Մենք մնում ենք հանձնառու մերժողովրդի շահերի ներկայացմանն ու եկեղեցական կարգի պահպանմանը և կարևորում ենք, որ ապագա քայլերն ու որոշումները կայացվեն փոխադարձ հարգանքի, համաձայնեցման և ներհամայնքային միասնականության հիման վրա»։
