An unprecedented Evening for the Armenian Fashion and Hospitality Industry: World-Renowned Dress Designer Jacob Meyer Presents His Masterpieces at the ONE&ONLY Antigravity Theatre in The Dvin Hotel
CULTUREOn November 27, the spectacular fashion show of world-famous wedding and evening dress
designer Jacob Meyer took place at the ONE&ONLY Antigravity Theatre in Seven Visions
Hotels, The Dvin. Meyer, known for his decades-long collaborations with global entertainment
icons such as Michael Jackson, Cardi B, Jennifer Lopez, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, and Beyoncé,
brought his masterpieces to Armenia for a truly unprecedented cultural event that elevated both
the fashion and hospitality sectors of the country.
More than one hundred designs—representing both Meyer’s celebrated collections and his
newest creations—were showcased during the high-level production. The designer emphasized
that although he has held many shows around the world, the Yerevan presentation distinguished
itself with exceptional artistry, professionalism, and atmosphere. The success of the event was
made possible by the dedicated Armenian team of The Dvin, working under the direct leadership
of Ms. Syuzanna Tovmasyan, the Artistic Director of the Dvin Hotel Complex, whose role
proved crucial to bringing this landmark event to life.
“What we brought to life today, I believe, was incredible. Some of the costumes
showcased were previously worn by major celebrities—Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, Nicki
Minaj—and we also presented new pieces, which the Armenian models displayed
stunningly. Armenia feels fantastic; the people here are welcoming and warm. Yerevan is
astonishing, and I am happy to be here,” Meyer stated, expressing special gratitude to Ms.
Syuzanna Tovmasyan, whom he credited as the primary initiator and creative visionary
behind this unprecedented event.
The JACOB MEYER x ART Haute Couture Show in Armenia became possible through Ms.
Tovmasyan’s personal initiative, months of planning, and artistic direction, supported by the
team of Seven Visions Resort & Places and the Dvin Hotel Complex CJSC. Beyond her
high-level organizational responsibilities, Ms. Tovmasyan served as the artistic architect of the
project. She personally curated the thematic concept, ensured the seamless integration of
Meyer’s creative vision with Armenian cultural aesthetics, and coordinated the involvement of
international talents, technical teams, and models. Her leadership transformed the show into not
merely a fashion event, but a defining cultural moment that showcases Armenia’s potential as a
global destination for world-class hospitality, creativity, and innovation.
Reflecting on the significance of the evening, Ms. Tovmasyan highlighted that Jacob Meyer is
one of the few designers who has worked with almost all world-famous stars over the past 45
years. After experiencing the venue firsthand, Meyer noted that staging such a show would be
nearly impossible even in Las Vegas—and that the Yerevan show was the most magnificent he
had ever had. This praise further underscores the importance of such events for the development
of Armenia’s tourism, fashion and hospitality industries and reinforces the country’s growing
role on the international cultural stage. Later, Ms. Tovmasyan proudly highlighted that such
events are among the most effective ways to bring international recognition not only to the
brand, but also to the country, contributing to Armenia’s appeal as an attractive tourism
destination.
The show unfolded in the extraordinary ONE&ONLY Antigravity Theatre, the world’s only
aerial theatre where performances begin and end in the ceiling. This architectural and artistic
marvel defies conventional stagecraft, offering a platform for avant-garde expression and
immersive storytelling. With its breathtaking shows, intricate choreography, and groundbreaking
production technologies, the theatre not only redefines performance art but also secures
Armenia’s place on the global cultural map. Every production held here becomes a celebration of
imagination, movement, and artistic excellence, making it the perfect setting for a designer of
Jacob Meyer’s caliber and a fitting milestone in the country’s expanding cultural landscape.
