Չգիտեմ՝ եկեղեցականների նկատմամբ, ովքեր հայտարարություն են արել, արդյոք շանտաժ կիրառվել է, թե ոչ։ Ցանկացած սցենարի դեպքում նման կեցվածք որդեգրելը դավաճանություն է։ Դավաճանությունը մեր խոստովանությունների, մեղքերի ցուցակում չկա արձանագրված որպես մեղք, որովհետև դավաճանությունը հավաքաբար խորհրդանշում է այդ ամբողջ մեղքերի միասնությունը։ Այս մասին ասուլիսի ժամանակ ասել է Մայր Աթոռի դիվանապետ Արշակ արքեպիսկոպոսը:

«Մարդիկ դավաճանել են ոչ միայն Աստծուն, ոչ միայն եկեղեցուն, այլ դավաճանել են իրենց։ Դավաճանել են այն ամենին, ինչը պատկանում է իրենց անցյալին։ Թվում է, թե պատարագի ժամանակ կաթողիկոսի անվան հիշատակությունը պարզ հատվածի զեղչում է, բայց դա միայն առաջին հայացքից: Դա ընդամենը պատարագի ինչ-որ հատվածի զեղչում չէ, դա ժխտում է նվիրապետական կարգի, դա ժխտում է եկեղեցական իշխանության, դա ժխտում է սեփական պատկանելության», - նշել է նա:

Արշակ արքեպիսկոպոսը հավելել է, որ Կաթողիկոսը չի կարող հեռանալ միայն այն պատճառով, որ ինչ-որ շրջանակներ այդպիսի օրակարգ են դրել, չի կարող հեռանալ այն դեպքում, որ ինչ-որ եպիսկոպոսներ այդպիսի պահանջ են դրել:

«Վստահ եմ՝ Կաթողիկոսի կողմից այդպիսի որոշում չի կայացավի, Կաթողիկոսն ունի եկեղեցու և եկեղեցու պատկանելության չափազանց բարձր գիտակցություն»,- ասել է նա:
