«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

«Հայկը շատ աշխույժ երեխա էր, խելացի, ընկերասեր և հյուրասեր, ծնողին և մեծին հարգող։ Ամենակարևոր հատկանիշներով էր օժտված»,-«Փաստի» հետ զրույցում ասում է տիկին Անահիտը՝ Հայկի մայրիկը։

Հայկը ծնունդով Արմավիրի մարզի Վարդանաշեն գյուղից է։ Սովորել է Մայիս Մինասյանի անվան դպրոցում։ Դպրոցին զուգահեռ հաճախել է սպորտի, գրանցել հաջողություններ։ «Աչքի ընկնող երեխա էր։ Խելացի էր, միջոցառումների ժամանակ բանաստեղծությունը, երգն ամենառաջինն էր սովորում, այն էլ՝ առանց կարդալու։ Բայց դասերը չէր սովորում»։

Դպրոցն ավարտելուց հետո Հայկն օգնել է ընտանիքին գյուղատնտեսական աշխատանքներում։ «Շատ երազանքներ և նպատակներ ուներ, որոնք իրականություն էին դառնալու բանակից զորացրվելուց հետո։ Բոլոր նպատակները կիսատ մնացին։ Կսովորեր, կաշխատեր, քաղաքում իրեն տուն կգներ, երազանքները շատ էին։ Նա ամեն ինչի մեջ կար, շատ աշխատասեր էր։ Երբ ավարտել էր դպրոցը, ընկերների հետ հավաքվում էին, գնում աշխատանքի։ Իր տարիքի երեխաներն այլ կերպ էին մտածում, բայց նա աշխատում էր, չնայած դրա կարիքը չուներ»։

Հայկը ծառայության է զորակոչվել 2020 թվականի հունվարի 14-ին։ Ծառայում էր Իջևանի զորամասում։ «Շատ էր ուզում բանակ գնալ։ Ընկերների ծանուցագրերն արդեն տվել էին, իրենն ուշանում էր։ Ամեն օր ասում էր՝ պետք է գնամ, տեսնեմ, թե ինչու չեն տալիս։ Շատ ուրախ մեկնեց ծառայության։ Նույն կերպ նաև ծառայում էր։ Շատ հարգված էր, մի քանի անգամ գնացել եմ իր մոտ, իմ աչքով եմ դա տեսել։ Շատ լավ է ծառայել, գոհ էր ծառայությունից, ընկերներից ու հրամանատարներից։ Վերջին անգամ իրեն սեպտեմբերի 20-ին եմ տեսել։ Ընտանիքով գնացել էինք իր մոտ։ Իրենց պետք է բարձրացնեին «պոլիգոններ», ասաց. «Մա՛մ ջան, եկե՛ք, պոլիգոններ ենք գնալու, եթե ավելի ուշ գաք, էլ չենք հանդիպի»։ Որոշեցինք ու ուղևորվեցինք իր մոտ։ Սեպտեմբերի 20-ին էլ իրենց զորամասում համերգ էին կազմակերպել, թույլ չէին տալիս ներս գնալ։ Բայց իրենց հրամանատարներից մեկը կանչել էր Հայկին, իր սենյակի բանալին տվել, ասել՝ ծնողներիդ կտանես իմ սենյակ, կհանդիպեք։ Դա եղավ մեր վերջին հանդիպումը»։

Սեպտեմբերի 27-ին սկսվում է 44-օրյա պատերազմը։ «Հոկտեմբերի 12-ին իրենք Իջևանից դուրս են եկել։ Ճանապարհ են ընկել և ուղևորվել Արցախ։ Տարբեր թեժ կետերում են եղել՝ Եղնիկներում, Ջրականում և այլ վայրերում։ Վերջին կետը եղել է «Մարտունի 2»-ը։ Նոյեմբերի 6-ին իր ծննդյան օրն է։ Այն նշել էր ընկերների հետ, և զոհվել նոյեմբերի 8-ին։ Պատերազմի օրերին Հայկը ևս շատ ուժեղ է եղել։ Տղաները պատմում են՝ մենք գիշերը քնում էինք, Հայկն արթուն էր մնում, խրամատներ փորում»։

Հայկն անմահացել է նոյեմբերի 8-ին «Մարտունի 2»-ում։ Պատերազմի օրերին ամեն օր խոսել է ընտանիքի անդամների հետ։ «Իրեն այնպես է պահել, որ ոչինչ չեմ զգացել։ Նոյեմբերի 8-ի առավոտյան հայրիկին է զանգահարել։ Ժամը հինգին արդեն այդ դեպքը եղել է։ Նոյեմբերի 9-ին մենք իմացել ենք բոթը։ Նոյեմբերի 10-ին նա արդեն Էջմիածնի դիահերձարանում էր, հաջորդ օրն իրեն տուն ենք բերել։ Հայկիս տեսել ենք, հրաժեշտ տվել, մեր նույն սիրուն Հայկն էր։ Ծնողներն այդ օրերին երանի էին տալիս, որ իրենց երեխաներին տեսնեին»։

Վարդանաշեն գյուղն այս պատերազմում հինգ զոհ է ունեցել։ «Տղաներից մեկը Եռաբլուրում է։ Երեք տղաները նույն դասարանից էին, մի տղան՝ տարիքով ավելի մեծ»։

Հայկը երեք քույրիկների կրտսեր եղբայրն է։ «Ինձ համար 2020 թվականը կանգ է առել, ամեն ինչ կարծես երազ լինի։ Ես միշտ մտածում եմ, որ իմ Հայկը ողջ է։ Խենթանալու բան է այն ամենը, ինչ տեղի ունեցավ։ Ինձ ուժ տվողն իմ աղջիկներն են։ Հիմա ապրում եմ թոռնիկներովս։ Նոյեմբերի 17-ին ծնված թոռնիկիս Հայկ ենք անվանակոչել»։

Հ. Գ. - Հայկ Խաչատրյանը հետմահու պարգևատրվել է «Մարտական ծառայություն» մեդալով։ Պարգևատրվել է նաև ՀԿների կողմից։ Հայկը պարգևատրվել է նաև «Հայոց բանակի գերազանցիկ», «Քաջարի մարտիկ» կրծքանշաններով։ Հուղարկավորված է Վարդանաշենի պանթեոնում։
