Հայաստանի տնտեսությունը հասել է կայացման ու բարեփոխումների մի մակադակի, որով գրավիչ է դառնում ամերիկյան ներդրումների համար: Այս մասին ասել է ՀՀ-ում ԱՄՆ-ի արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան Ռիչարդ Միլսը դեսպանատան կողմից կազմակերպված օնլայն հարցուպատասխանի ժամանակ` պատասխանելով օգտատերերից մեկի հարցին:

«Նախագահ Օբամայի մեկնաբանություններն արտացոլում են Հայաստանում դեսպանության ու ԱՄՆ կառավարության առաջնահերթությունները, ամերիկյան ներդրումներն ու առևտրի ծավալի մեծացումը: Անցած տարի եղան կարևոր զարգացումներ, այդ թվում, Որոտանի հիդրոկասկադի գործարքը` ամենախոշոր ամերիկյան մեկանգամյա ներդրումը Հայաստանում: Նաև Հայաստանի և Միացյալ Նահանգների միջև ստորագրվեց Առևտրի և ներդրումների շրջանակային համաձայնագիրը: Այն նախատեսված է օգնել երկու երկրների կառավարություններին առևտրի խոչընդոտների երկուստեք վերացման հարցում»,- ասել է դեսպանը:

Նրա խոսքով, Իրանի նկատմամբ պատժամիջոցների վերացումը կարող է Հայաստանը դարձնել կարևոր հարթակ ամերիկյան բիզնեսի ընդլայնման համար Իրանի հետ: Ռիչարդ Միլսը նշել է, որ ավելի շատ ներդրումներ ներգրավելու դեսպանատան նպատակը ընթանում է կոռուպցիայի կրճատմանն ուղղված ՀՀ գործընկերների հետ աշխատանքին զուգահեռ: «Հավասար խաղի պայմանների ապահովումը բոլոր բիզնեսների համար` լինեն հայկական, օտարերկրյա, թե ռուսական խիստ կարևոր է: Մենք կարող ենք ներդրումներ ներգրավել՝ օգնելով կրճատել կոռուպցիան ի շահ բոլոր նրանց, ովքեր զբաղվում են բիզնեսով Հայաստ անում»,-ավելացրել է դեսպանը:

Միացյալ Նահանգներում Հայաստանի նորանշանակ դեսպան Գրիգոր Հովհաննիսյանը հունվարի 28-ին իր հավատարմագրերն է հանձնել ԱՄՆ նախագահ Բարաք Օբամային, ով հանդիպմանը նշել է, որ 2015թ. Հայաստանում ԱՄՆ ներդրումների ծավալի պատմական մակարդակի բարձրացումը միայն սկիզբն է մեծածավալ առևտային ու ներդրումային կապերի, որոնք առանցքային նշանակություն ունեն ինչպես Հայաստանի, տարածաշրջանի համար, այնպես էլ՝ դրանից դուրս:
