Ռուսաստանի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինը օլիմպիական չեմպիոն Նիկիտա Սիմոնյանի մահվան կապակցությամբ ցավակցություն է հայտնել նրա ընտանիքին և ընկերներին։
«Խնդրում եմ ընդունեք իմ խորին ցավակցությունները, կարեկցանքի և աջակցության խոսքերը Նիկիտա Պավլովի Սիմոնյանի մահվան կապակցությամբ։ Կյանքից հեռացավ փայլուն, արտակարգ մարդ, անսահման նվիրված իր ընտրած գործին, ռուսական և համաշխարհային ֆուտբոլի իսկական լեգենդ։ Իր հմտության, տոկունության և թիմի հանդեպ հավատարմության համար Նիկիտա Սիմոնյանը գնահատվում էր իր «Սպարտակ»-ի և ազգային հավաքականի թիմակիցների կողմից, հարգվում էր մրցակիցների կողմից և անկեղծորեն սիրվում միլիոնավոր երկրպագուների կողմից, որոնց համար նա ճանաչված կուռք էր», -ասվում է Կրեմլի կայքում հրապարակված հեռագրում։
Պետության ղեկավարը ընդգծել է, որ Նիկիտա Սիմոնյանի վառ հիշատակը հավերժ կմնա նրա ընտանիքի և ընկերների, իր ուսանողների և Ռուսաստանում «թիվ մեկ խաղի» բոլոր երկրպագուների սրտերում։
Սիմոնյանը մահացել է 2025 թվականի նոյեմբերի 23-ին՝ 100 տարեկան հասակում։ Իր կարիերայի ընթացքում նա խաղացել է Մոսկվայի «Կռիլյա Սովետով»-ում և «Սպարտակ»-ում՝ չորս անգամ նվաճելով ԽՍՀՄ առաջնությունը (1952, 1953, 1956, 1958) և երկու անգամ՝ ԽՍՀՄ գավաթը (1950, 1958)։ Սիմոնյանը «Սպարտակի» բոլոր ժամանակների լավագույն ռմբարկուն է (160 գոլ): 1956 թվականին նա ԽՍՀՄ հավաքականի կազմում հաղթեց Մելբուռնում կայացած Օլիմպիական խաղերում: 1958 թվականին, Անգլիայի դեմ 2-2 ոչ-ոքի խաղում, նա խփեց ԽՍՀՄ առաջին գոլը Աշխարհի առաջնության եզրափակչում: Նա հեռացավ պրոֆեսիոնալ ֆուտբոլից 1959 թվականին։
Սիմոնյանը հետագայում դարձավ «Սպարտակի», «Երևանի արարատի», «Օդեսա Չեռնոմորեցի» և ԽՍՀՄ հավաքականի գլխավոր մարզիչ: Նրա ղեկավարությամբ կարմիր-սպիտակները երկու անգամ նվաճեցին ԽՍՀՄ չեմպիոնի տիտղոսը (1962, 1969), իսկ «Արարատը»՝ նաև երկրի չեմպիոնի տիտղոսը (1973): Նա թիմերին տարավ ԽՍՀՄ գավաթի խաղարկության հաղթանակների. «Սպարտակը»՝ երեք անգամ (1963, 1965, 1971), իսկ «Արարատը»՝ մեկ անգամ (1973): Սիմոնյանը 1992-ից 1998 թվականներին եղել է Ռուսաստանի ֆուտբոլային միության (ՌՖՄ) առաջին փոխնախագահ: Ավելի ուշ նա ընտրվեց կազմակերպության պատվավոր փոխնախագահի պաշտոնում, որը նա զբաղեցրեց մինչև իր մահը: Նա նաև մի քանի անգամ զբաղեցրել է ՌՖՄ-ի նախագահի պաշտոնակատարի պաշտոնը։
