Շատ դեղամիջոցներ նախատեսված են միայն մեծահասակների համար, և դրանց նույնիսկ փոքր քանակը կարող է վնասել երեխայի առողջությանը։

Մինչև 16 տարեկանում կարող է առաջացնել լուրջ բարդություն՝ Ռեյի համախտանիշ, որը ազդում է ուղեղի և լյարդի վրա։ Այդ պատճառով այն երեխաներին գրեթե երբեք չի նշանակվում։
Պարացետամոլ (մեծահասակների դեղաչափերով)
Թեև երեխաների համար կան հատուկ ձևեր, մեծահասակների դեղաչափը կարող է ծանր ազդեցություն ունենալ լյարդի վրա։
Իբուպրոֆեն
Սխալ դեղաչափի կամ երկար ժամանակ չթույլատրելի օգտագործման դեպքում կարող է վնասել ստամոքսին և երիկամներին։

Սրանք հանգստացնող և նյարդային համակարգի վրա ազդող դեղեր են։ Երեխաների մոտ կարող են առաջացնել քնկոտության, շնչառության խանգարումների և գիտակցության խախտման վտանգ։
Ամիտրիպտիլին
Հակադեպրեսանտ է, որը երեխաների համար առանց բժշկի հսկողության կիրառելն վտանգավոր է, քանի որ կարող է խիստ ազդել սրտի և նյարդային համակարգի աշխատանքի վրա։
Նիտրոգլիցերին
Սրտի համար նախատեսված դեղ է, որը երեխաների մոտ կարող է առաջացնել արյան ճնշման վտանգավոր անկում և գլխապտույտ։
Մետոպրոլոլ, Բիսոպրոլոլ
Սրանք սրտին ազդող դեղամիջոցներ են։ Երեխայի օրգանիզմի վրա կարող են ծանր ազդեցություն ունենալ, քանի որ դանդաղեցնում են սրտի աշխատանքը։
Էլթիրոքսին
Վահանագեղձի հորմոն է։ Սխալ ընդունման դեպքում կարող է խախտել երեխայի հորմոնալ հավասարակշռությունը։
