ԱՄՆ-ում United Airlines-ի ավիավթարի պատճառը պարզվել է․ Boeing 737-ը բախվել է խափանված մետեոզոնդի

ԱՄՆ-ի Տրանսպորտի անվտանգության ազգային խորհուրդը հրապարակել է զեկույց այն օբյեկտի մասին, որը մեկ ամիս առաջ բախվել էր United Airlines-ի ինքնաթիռին։ Ինչպես գրում է New York Post-ը, պարզվել է, որ Boeing 737-ն օդում՝ Յուտա նահանգի վերևում, մոտ 11 կմ բարձրության վրա, բախվել է անսարք մետեոզոնդի։
Հարվածի հետևանքով մետեոզոնդը ջարդել է ինքնաթիռի դիմապատուհանը և ապակու բեկորներով լցրել կոկպիտը։ Ինքնաթիռի հրամանատարը ստիպված է եղել շտապ լանդինգ կատարել Սոլթ-Լեյք-Սիթիի պահեստային օդակայանում։
Վաղ տվյալներով՝ WindBorne Systems ընկերության իրականացրած համաշխարհային մթնոլորտային զոնդավորման համար նախատեսված օդապարիկը արձակվել էր նախորդ օրը Վաշինգտոն նահանգից։ Այն сначала շարժվել էր դեպի հարավ՝ անցնելով Նևադայով, սակայն հետո շեղվել էր և վերադարձել Յուտա, որտեղ էլ տեղի էր ունեցել բախումը։
Ավելի վաղ նույնպես գրանցվել էր նման դեպք․ Հյուսթոնի օդանավակայանում United Airlines-ի մեկ այլ օդանավ բախվել էր այլ բորտի, ինչի հետևանքով ուղևորներին շտապ դուրս էին բերել ինքնաթիռից։
