Վլադիմիր Պուտինը պատրաստակամություն հայտնեց համագործակցել ԱՄՆ-ի կողմից առաջարկված Ուկրաինայի համար «խաղաղության ծրագրի» հետ։ Նա այս հայտարարությունն արել է Ռուսաստանի Անվտանգության խորհրդի նիստի ժամանակ։

Այսպիսով, Պուտինը հայտարարել է, որ «ՍՎՕ»-ն ուղղված է Ռուսաստանի նպատակներին ռազմական ճանապարհով հասնելուն։ «Բայց մենք նաև պատրաստ ենք խաղաղ բանակցությունների, խնդիրները խաղաղ ճանապարհով լուծելու։ Սակայն դա, իհարկե, պահանջում է առաջարկվող պլանի բոլոր մանրամասների առարկայական քննարկում։ Մենք պատրաստ ենք դրան», - բացատրել է նա։

Պուտինը հայտարարել է, որ արդեն ստացել է ամերիկյան խաղաղության կարգավորման նախագծի տեքստը։ Նա այն նկարագրեց որպես Ալյասկայում քննարկված պլանի փոփոխված տարբերակ։ Պուտինը կարծում էր, որ այս փաստաթուղթը կարող է հիմք հանդիսանալ «վերջնական խաղաղության կարգավորման» համար։

Նա նշեց, որ նույնիսկ Ալյասկայի գագաթնաժողովից առաջ ամերիկացիները խնդրել են Ռուսաստանին գնալ որոշակի զիջումների և «ցույց տալ ճկունություն»։

«Մենք հաստատեցինք, որ մեր կողմից որոշակի դժվարին հարցերի և դժվարություններին չնայած, այնուամենայնիվ, համաձայն ենք այս առաջարկների հետ», - հավելեց Ռուսաստանի առաջնորդը։

Պուտինի խոսքով՝ ռուսների և ամերիկացիների միջև «խաղաղության պլանի» նոր տարբերակը դեռևս մանրամասն չի քննարկվել՝ «միայն ընդհանուր առմամբ»։
