Հ կառավարության նիստի օրակարգից հանվեց Հայաստանում նոր միջուկային էներգաբլոկի կառուցման ծրագիրը հաստատելու մասին հարցը: «Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ ՀՀ էներգետիկայի և բնական պաշարների նախարար Երվանդ Զախարյանը նշեց, որ ծրագրի հետ կապված լրացուցիչ քննարկման հարցեր կան:

Համաձայն ծրագրի՝ ՀՀ-ում նոր միջուկային էներգաբլոկի կառուցման աշխատանքների մեկնարկը նախատեսված էր 2018թ., իսկ շահագործման հանձնումը՝ 2026թ-ին: Նախագծի հիմնավորման մեջ հիշեցվում էր, որ 2014 թվականի դեկտեմբերի 20-ին ստորագրվել է «Հայաստանի Հանրապետության Կառավարության և Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության Կառավարության միջև Հայկական ատոմային էլեկտրակայանի երկրորդ էներգաբլոկի շահագործման ժամկետի երկարաձգման համագործակցության մասին» համաձայնագիրը:

«Հայկական ԱԷԿ-ի երկրորդ էներգաբլոկի շահագործման ժամկետի երկարաձգման աշխատանքների իրականացման նպատակով ՀՀ կառավարությանը արտահանման վարկի տրամադրման մասին» ՀՀ և ՌԴ կառավարությունների միջև համաձայնագիրը ստորագրվել է 2015թ. փետրվարի 5-ին: Երկու համաձայնագրերն էլ ուժի մեջ են մտնել 2015թ. մայիսի 12-ից: Վերոնշյալ համաձայնագրերով՝ ՀՀ կառավարությանը կտրամադրվի 270 մլն դոլար վարկային և 30 մլն դոլար անհատույց միջոցներ Հայկական ԱԷԿ-ի երկրորդ էներգաբլոկի շահագործման ժամկետի երկարաձգման աշխատանքների իրականացման նպատակով:

«Հայկական ատոմակայանի 2-րդ էներգաբլոկի շահագործման ժամկետի երկարաձգման աշխատանքները արդեն մեկնարկել են: Այս հանգամանքը հնարավորություն է ստեղծում մեկ անգամ ևս քննարկել նոր ԱԷԿ-ի կառուցման ծրագիրը, որով նախատեսվում էր ՀՀ-ում կառուցել մինչև 1000 ՄՎտհզորությամբ բլոկ: 2014-2015թթ. մշակված «ՀՀ էներգետիկ համակարգի երկարաժամկետ (մինչև 2036թ.) զարգացման ուղիները» փաստաթղթումներ առված վերլուծությունները բացահայտեցին, որ պայմանվորված Հայաստանի էներգահամակարգի ռեժիմային գործոններով և Հայկական էներգահամակարգում տնտեսական և տեխնիկական բն ույթի հանգամանքներով, նպատակահարմար է ներառել մոտ 600 ՄՎտ հզորությամբ նոր էներգաբլոկ, որի կառուցումը կապահովի ՀՀ-ն էներգետիկ անվտանգության և անկախության անհրաժեշտ մակարդակը»,- ասված էր ծրագրի հիմնավորման մեջ:
