Մաքգիլի համալսարանի գիտնականները հայտնաբերել են, որ մարդիկ, ովքեր միաժամանակ օգտագործում են կանեփ և ծխախոտ, ուղեղի ակտիվության մեջ նկատելի տարբերություններ են ցուցաբերում՝ համեմատած նրանց հետ, ովքեր օգտագործում են միայն կանեփ, գրում է Science Daily-ն։

Այս արդյունքներն օգնում են բացատրել, թե ինչու են երկու նյութերը համատեղողների մոտ ավելի հաճախ առաջանում տագնապ և դեպրեսիա, և ինչու է նրանց համար կանեփից հրաժարվելու փորձերն ավելի բարդ լինում։

«Սա մարդկանց վերաբերող առաջին տվյալներն են մոլեկուլային մեխանիզմի մասին, որը կարող է բացատրել, թե ինչու են կանեփ և ծխախոտ համատեղողներն ավելի ծանր հետևանքներ զգում», - նշել է հետազոտության առաջատար հեղինակ, Մաքգիլի համալսարանի հոգեբուժության ամբիոնի դոցենտ և Douglas Research Centre-ի հետազոտող Ռեյչել Ռաբինը։

Նա ընդգծել է, որ այս մեխանիզմի ըմբռնումը կարևոր է կանեփի օգտագործման հետ կապված խանգարումների բուժման նոր դեղամիջոցների մշակման համար, հատկապես նրանց մոտ, ովքեր միաժամանակ ծխախոտ են օգտագործում։ Այսօրվա դրությամբ բուժման հիմնական մեթոդը մնում են վարքային թերապիաները, ինչպիսիք են խորհրդատվությունները։

Թեև Կանադայում ծխախոտի ընդհանուր սպառումը նվազում է, կանեփ օգտագործողների մեծ մասը շարունակում է ծխախոտ օգտագործել։ Նախկինում հետազոտությունների մեծ մասն ուսումնասիրում էր յուրաքանչյուր նյութն առանձին, ինչը գիտելիքների մեջ բաց տարածք էր թողնում, որը նոր հետազոտությունը սկսում է լրացնել։

Գիտնականները օգտագործել են պոզիտրոնային էմիսիոն տոմոգրաֆիա (ՊԷՏ) և կանեփ և ծխախոտ համատեղողների մոտ հայտնաբերել FAAH ֆերմենտի բարձր մակարդակ, որը քայքայում է անանդամիդը՝ ուղեղի բնական նյութը, որը հաճախ անվանվում է «երջանկության մոլեկուլ»։ FAAH-ի ավելի բարձր մակարդակը նվազեցնում է անանդամիդի պարունակությունը, ինչը կապված է տագնապի, դեպրեսիայի և կանեփից հրաժարվելու փորձերի դեպքում կրկնությունների բարձր ռիսկի հետ։

Հետազոտությունը ներառել է 13 երիտասարդ չափահասների. ութը օգտագործում էին միայն կանեփ, հինգը՝ կանեփ և ծխախոտ ամեն օր։ Կանեփի միջին սպառումը կազմում էր օրական մեկ գրամից մի փոքր ավելի, ծխախոտինը՝ մեկից տասներկու հատ։ Թեև ծխախոտի ազդեցությունը ուղեղի վրա դեռ ամբողջությամբ ուսումնասիրված չէ, արդյունքները ցույց են տալիս նյութերի բարդ փոխազդեցություն և համատեղման ուժեղ ազդեցություն։

Գիտնականները նախատեսում են հաջորդ հետազոտությունը, որը կուսումնասիրի ուղեղի փոփոխությունները ծխողների և նիկոտին օգտագործողների մոտ՝ առանց կանեփի, որպեսզի ավելի լավ հասկանան ծխախոտի դերը։
