Իրանի արտգործնախարար Աբաս Արաղչին կիրակի օրը հայտարարել է, որ Թեհրանը այլևս չի զբաղվում ուրանի հարստացմամբ երկրի որևէ օբյեկտում։
Պատասխանելով Իրան այցելած Associated Press-ի լրագրողի հարցին՝ արտգործնախարար Աբաս Արաղչին ներկայացրել է Իրանի կառավարության մինչև օրս ամենաուղղակի պատասխանը՝ իր միջուկային ծրագրի վերաբերյալ, Իսրայելի և Միացյալ Նահանգների կողմից հունիսին ուրանի հարստացման օբյեկտների ռմբակոծումից հետո։
«Իրանում չկա չհայտարարված միջուկային հարստացում։ Մեր բոլոր օբյեկտները գտնվում են Միջազգային ատոմային էներգիայի գործակալության երաշխիքների և մոնիտորինգի ներքո, – ասել է Արաղչին։ – Ներկայումս հարստացում չի իրականացվում, քանի որ մեր օբյեկտները՝ մեր հարստացման գործարանները, ենթարկվել են հարձակման»։
Պատասխանելով հարցին, թե ինչ է անհրաժեշտ Իրանին՝ ԱՄՆ-ի և այլ երկրների հետ բանակցությունները շարունակելու համար, Արաղչին ասել է, որ Իրանի դիրքորոշումը միջուկային ծրագրի հարցում մնում է հստակ։
«Իրանի իրավունքը՝ հարստացման, միջուկային տեխնոլոգիաների խաղաղ օգտագործման, ներառյալ ուրանի հարստացումը, անվիճարկելի է։ Մենք ունենք այդ իրավունքը, և շարունակում ենք օգտվել դրանից, և հուսով ենք, որ միջազգային հանրությունը, ներառյալ Միացյալ Նահանգները, կընդունի մեր իրավունքները և կհասկանա, որ դա Իրանի անքակտելի իրավունքն է, և մենք երբեք չենք հրաժարվի մեր իրավունքներից», – հավելել է նա։
