Իբուպրոֆենը, նապրոքսենը, դիկլոֆենակը և նմանատիպ դեղերը լայնորեն օգտագործվում են գլխացավի կամ հոդացավերի դեպքում։ Սակայն երկարատև ընդունման դեպքում դրանք կարող են վնասել լյարդը, ստամոքսի լորձաթաղանթը և սրտանոթային համակարգը։

2. Քնի և հանգստացնող դեղեր (բենզոդիազեպիններ)
Դեղեր, որոնք նախատեսված են նյարդային լարվածությունը նվազեցնելու կամ քունը կարգավորելու համար (օր.՝ դիազեպամ, ալպրազոլամ), կարող են առաջացնել կախվածություն։ Հաճախակի օգտագործումը կապված է հիշողության խանգարումների, ընկնելու ռիսկի և նույնիսկ վաղաժամ մահացության հետ։

3. Այրոցը նվազեցնող միջոցներ 
Գաստրիտի կամ այրոցքի դեմ նախատեսված որոշ դեղեր՝ ինչպես օմեպրազոլը կամ պանտոպրազոլը, երկարաժամկետ ընդունման դեպքում կարող են խաթարել մարսողական համակարգի բնական հավասարակշռությունը և ազդել միկրոտարրերի յուրացման վրա՝ թուլացնելով ոսկորները և իմունային համակարգը։
