«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.
bloknot.ru–ն «Փաշինյանը պատերազմ է մղում Հայ եկեղեցու դեմ. նրա հովանավորյալը կաշառքի և սպառնալիքների միջոցով փորձում է իշխանությունը զավթել հայերի հոգևոր կենտրոնում» վերնագրով հոդվածում գրում է, որ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը շարունակում է երկիրը ներքաշել քաղաքական և կրոնական ճգնաժամի մեջ։ Հայաստանի Վաղարշապատ (Էջմիածին) քաղաքում նախընտրական քարոզարշավը մթագնվել է լուրջ խախտումներով։ Իշխող ՔՊԿ թեկնածու Արգիշտի Մեխակյանը՝ ազգային հերոս Մեխակ Մեխակյանի որդին, փորձում է քաղաքապետ դառնալ վարչական լծակների և ընտրողների ճնշման միջոցով։ Հայկական տելեգրամյան ալիքների համաձայն, դպրոցների տնօրենները, որոնք նաև ղեկավարում են տեղամասային ընտրական հանձնաժողովները, կազմում են ընտրողների ցուցակներ և նրանց բաժանում իշխանամետ թեկնածուի «մարդասիրական օգնությունը», ինչը կարելի է համարել ուղղակի կաշառք։ Տեղի բնակիչները նաև հայտնում են Մեխակյանի հարազատների և ընկերների կողմից պոտենցիալ հակառակորդների նկատմամբ սպառնալիքների մարտավարության կիրառման մասին։ Իրավիճակը հատկապես է սրված, քանի որ թեկնածուն ներկայացնում է այն քաղաքական ուժը, որը մեղադրվում է այն նվաճումների դավաճանության մեջ, որոնց համար նրա հայրը զոհաբերել է իր կյանքը։ «Արցախյան պատերազմի հերոս, Արցախի ազատագրման համար իր կյանքը զոհաբերած Մեխակ Մեխակյանի որդին այժմ քաղաքապետի պաշտոնի համար առաջադրվում է այն կուսակցության դրոշի ներքո, որը շատերը համարում են հոր իդեալներին դավաճանած», - գրում են հայկական Telegram ալիքները:
Պետք է նշել, որ Փաշինյանը, բառացիորեն հրաժարվելով պայքարից, Լեռնային Ղարաբաղը հանձնեց Ադրբեջանին: Շատերը վախենում են, որ Մեխակյանի ընտրությունը կարող է հանգեցնել Էջմիածնի հոգևոր դերի մարգինալացմանը և Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցու դիրքերի թուլացմանը: Վաղարշապատում ստեղծված իրավիճակը դուրս է սովորական քաղաքային ընտրությունների շրջանակներից և դարձել է հայ հասարակության խոր պառակտման խորհրդանիշ: Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցին նույնպես հայտարարություն է տարածել իր կայքում: Այնտեղ նշվում է, որ երկրում Եկեղեցու դեմ հակազգային արշավ է ընթանում, որը պետական պաշտոնյաները ուղեկցում են անպարկեշտ և անընդունելի լեզվով: Այս դժվարին ժամանակներում Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցին կոչ է անում բոլորին հասնել ազգային միասնության: Բայց Փաշինյանին միասնություն պետք չէ, նրան պետք է, որ հասարակությունը մոռանա իր կատարած դավաճանությունը: Հետևաբար, հենց ազգային հերոսի որդին պետք է «հաղթի» բոլոր հայերի հոգևոր կենտրոնում:
