Վանի հայկական մշակութային արժեքները մեկը մյուսի հետևից ոչնչանում են

Վանի պատմական շինությունները շարունակում են մնալ կործանման վտանգի առաջ։ Քաղաքի հայկական մշակութային ժառանգության մեծ մասը տարիների անտարբերության և անխնամության պատճառով հայտնվել է անմխիթար վիճակում է։
Տուրիզմի մասնագետ Մուրաթ Բեյազը, անդրադառնալով Թուրքիայում մշակութային ժառանգության հետ կապված խնդիրներին, նշել է, որ եթե այս հուշակոթողները վերականգնվեն, ապա 20 տարի նույն տեղում դոփելուց հետո Վանի զբոսաշրջությունը կարող է կրկին աշխուժանալ։
«Այս պատմական կառույցները ստեղծած մարդիկ, եթե այսօր տեսնեին դրանց վիճակը, բան չէր մնա, որ մեզ չասեին: Մենք մարդկանց ջանքն ու պատմությունը չհարգեցինք: Մենք չկարողացանք բացել հայկական վանքերը: Ամենը գանձագողերի կողմից կործանված վիճակում են: Մենք տեր չենք կանգնում մեր մշակութային ժառանությանը»,- քննադատել է Բեյազը:
Այդպիսի մշակութային կոթողների թվում է Վանի Բաշքալե շրջանում գտնվող 1700 տարվա Սուրբ Բարդուղիմեոս հայկական եկեղեցին, ինչպես նաև Գևաշի Սուրբ Թովմա վանքը և հանրահայտ Կարմիր եկեղեցին (Գարմրավանքը): Այս հուշակոթողները, որոնք երբևէ եղել են տարածաշրջանի մշակութային ինքնության անբաժանելի մասը, այսօր լքված են և պարբերաբար ենթարկվում են գանձագողերի վնասմանն ու թալանին։
Բեյազը նաև քննադատորեն է մոտեցել Վանի բերդի վերականգնման աշխատանքներին՝ ընդգծելով, որ դրանք առաջ են գնում դանդաղ տեմպերով, ապա հավելել․ «Եթե այս կառույցները վերանորոգվեն, զբոսաշրջիկը հանգիստ կարող է Վանում 6–7 օր ժամանակ անցկացնել: Այս կոթողները պետք է հրատապ վերանորոգվեն»։
